MY DREAM FANTASTIC FOUR

1. Reed Richards/Mr.Fantastic
Notes: polymath – explorer – celebrity – the consummate field leader of the Fantastic Four; a team of super powered explorers self-tasked with exploring the multi-verse and tackling problems small and infinite – just as emotionally intelligent as he is adept in the sciences but prone to bouts of hyper focus – skeptical of magic - my version was raised in a government think tank and had little to no contact with his time traveling father – superhumanly pliable and injury resistant due to prolonged exposure to a otherdimensional radiation (water)

2. Susan Richards/Invisible Woman
Notes: academician – biologist – fitness buff/yoga instructor/martial arts hobbyist – explorer – celebrity – Reed’s anchor to the real world and the “manager”/spokesperson of the team – creates and manipulates force fields (air)

3. Johnny Storm/Human Torch
Notes: impulsive action junkie younger brother of Susan – mechanically adept/gearhead – self-promotional celebrity – least predictable of the four - generates and manipulates flame for various effects (fire)

4. Ben Grimm/Thing
Notes: high school football hero turned professional soldier, gifted amateur pugilist, and sought after freelance pilot; specializing in dangerous locations – met Reed Richards and Alyssa Moy during a harrowing adventure in remote South America – brave, strong willed, but deceptively rough exterior hides a poetic soul – adventures published under a pseudonym – secular jewish-american near impenetrable rock like hide and enhanced strength (earth)

DREAM CHAMPIONS/HEROES FOR HIRE TEAM (Olympus Group-backed)

1. Iron Fist/Daniel Rand – orphaned son of a billionaire raised in a warrior culture to be their chi-wielding deathsporting champion – mostly retained his idealistic nature and a stubborn streak of ‘mericanism – often/reluctantly the field leader of this group and a seldom matched martial artist

2. Power Man/Luke Cage – street and business savvy former gangbanger who was falsely imprisoned and empowered by sabotaged prison experiment – I’m sticking with the experiment being an attempt at recreating the captain America SSS – so Cage would be a more durable version of, say, U.S. Agent; with room to grow in strength over time (his body gradually adapting to traumatic impact).

3. Spiderwoman/Jessica Drew – daughter of british Hydra affliated scientists/assistants of Professor Otto Vermis – one of a handful of children to survive the gene-splicing experiments of Vermis; only to be separated from their parents and indoctrinated by Hydra (Ophelia Sarkissian was another kid this twisted “daycare”; being given reptilian traits instead of spider) – eventual defector – per training, she blended into society and would spend some time as a private investigator/part-time vigilante considered to be an urban legend but known by/in aid of Scotland Yard. Joined H4H after relocating to the States/needing a change of pace. All of her more familiar abilities. She gained her flight ability from an anti-gravity implant; courtesy of Nick Fury and S.H.I.E.L.D’s London Branch.

4. Black Knight/Dane Whitman – permanently cynical engineering/metallurgy adept nephew of knight-themed costumed villain and freelance weaponeer, Nathaniel Garrett – reluctantly gained his Uncle’s place in the criminal underworld with the familial castle – feeling guilty for building exotic weaponry for Europe’s costumed criminal set, Dane would eventually set out to restore his family’s good name as the armored Black Knight – after several misunderstandings, he befriends & adventures alongside Captain Britain – in this capacity he spends enough time in Otherworld to learn how to incorporate science bordering on magic to his already impressive array of self-crafted weaponry – natural athlete and swordsman who became even more skilled after adventuring in other realms – joined H4H after serving honorably w/ the Avengers

5. Hercules/Heracles – hedonistic fun- booze- and battle- loving demi-god son of Zeus – The Olympus group fashions this team, in part, to occupy Zeus’ hell-raising kid

6. She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters – law prodigy/defense attorney w/ aspirations to be a federal prosecutor – runs afoul of organize crime and ends up in desperate need of a blood transfusion – you know the rest of the story – super smart law savvy giant green id personified

7. Ant-Man/Scott Lang – desperate (needing money for daughter’s expensive medical bills) low level tech specialist who became a marked man after reluctantly aiding costumed villains working for criminal financier/Hammer competitor, Darren Agonistes Cross. Bailed out and empowered by temporarily retired costumed adventurer, Henry Pym. Not a super genius by clever/inventive enough to fake it.

Jim Hammond – an early member of S.H.I.E.L.D who volunteered for a military experiment that altered his body to survive the extreme temperatures of space – his scouting mission was cut short after a martian attack on Earth – during the ensuing conflict, Hammond discovered his ability to radiate heat at destructive levels – afterwards he would thwart an attack on New York by the atlanteans and serve honorably with the superhuman Invaders during WWII “dubbed the Torch of Liberty” – he would seemingly perish in battle with the newly empowered Axis Mundi – in the present day, Hammond was resurrected (pinch of Prometheus’ flame) by the Olympus Group and has worked as Chief Operations Officer of the Champions/Heroes for Hire. He’s readjusting to his newfound immortality.
Note: I know I’ve made some drastic changes. But, in my new continuity, Arkus (the original vision) was a semi-advanced android given a somewhat alien-appearance as a psychological attack; as its mission was to fight the invading martians. It’s husk would lay dormant until being used as the basis for the new Vision by Ultron.
