Default What Is Going To The Memorable Event That Amazing #801 Sends Slott Off With?

Pete and MJ getting back together? The two of them finding their long lost daughter? Aunt May finding out about Pete's identity for the 3rd or 4th time? I mean, obviously the issue is going to revolve around a certain someone's funeral but is there going to be a major event that takes place as well? It just seems odd that he's leaving with issue #801 instead of #800...

Issue 801 is more likely a slice of life story for Spider-Man.

I think that it's going to be an epilogue like issue. The heavy stuff took place in 800.
    However, i could be mistaken.

Eh, i would be surprised if it is anything more than a coda/quiet reflection/recap type of tale. #800 packed a lot in and left most of the main characters in a defined place so I don't see anything major transpiring since Slott just has 20 final pages to work with but I could be wrong about that. I don't think he needs to do anything more than a thoughtful farewell but he could have one final surprise up his sleeve.

    It's a done-in-one Spider-Man story that's everything I want to say about Spidey.

    It's not an "event".
There's nothing in it about One More Day or Clone Conspiracy or what-have-you.

    It's a story.

And it might just be my favorite story of my ten and a half year run.

I think readers should go into it looking for a story. About Spidey.

I literally saved this one for last.

Sounds great, Dan----I am looking forward to it and elated that you got Marcos to do this issue with you. He is easily my favorite Spidey artist of the last 20 years or so and your work together has been phenomenal; thx again for the great stories!

It obviously isn't, since we actually saw that funeral in #800.

Really I felt like you did all that with #800. The fact that you are doing it again is even more awesome!

That couple page tease of Martin at the end of 800 got me so hyped a full issue with that art again! I have no idea what it'll be about, but I can probably assume it'll be something very emotional, I can't wait!
