    I like the Addams Family, but I think they lose something when animated. Seeing real people be that weird just adds more charm than seeing weird cartoon characters.

    But Addams family was a comic first. The 60s show was based on the comic.

    Those characters are more faithful to the Charles Addams originals than any we've seen yet. Unfortunately, that's not the version most people are going to be interested in seeing. The original cartoons were one-shot gags with no storylines. Also, I believe Morticia was silent.

    Might make a good series of shorts, but not a movie.

    ETA: Nope, Morticia wasn't silent. But none of them had names until the TV series came out.

    In the first 90s movie not sure. Pugsley taking the stop sign had some car crashes, but we don't know if anyone died.
