The dialog is more than fine, especially compared to what we're getting in certain other books that shall as yet remain nameless.
As for the "Utopia 2 Bubble", the whole point of Searebro is to make it even more defensible than Utopia was. And it's not Utopia. It's a temporary sanctuary, whereas Utopia was meant as a sovereign mutant nation that would be permanent. Searebro is just a base for people to go so that they aren't lynched, and it's located under the sea, where it should for the most part be safe... as opposed to being in the middle of San Francisco Bay. Theoretically, it should be fine. But then you have someone like Cassandra Nova in the mix.
I am looking forward to seeing Rachel tho.
As for the book being slow I don't know that I agree - this issue felt kind of slow narratively, but there was a lot of action and that was a good thing. It was finishing to set up the team. The following issues show promise to be much faster. In this day and age of comics, decompression should be expected and this book in itself deals well with that reality; let Taylor tell his story.
It does make one wonder if we wouldn't be more suited to OGN's these days, though.
"We come into this world alone and we leave the same way. The time we spent in between - time spent alive, sharing, learning together... is all that makes life worth living." - Jean Grey
I like this book a lot but it’s clearly behind Gold and Blue for me!
I love the art and the team, minus one pip-squeek who I wish would vanish...is this how people felt about Kitty, Jubilee, BoomBoom etc back in the day? Is it because I'm getting older? I love Laura...but why do we need Gabby?
Also...Gambit, Namor, Nightcrawler, Storm and Jean are all looking fineeeee
I'm really appreciating this book. I hear the criticism that it's slow...but this is the book I've been waiting for, for a while. I hope it doesn't take a nose dive.

Oh God, Jean's dialogue in that team panel is cringe. It literally hurt me to read. I wasn't prepared.
It's a good team and each can have their own role so hopefully it will allow them to have them moments. If you think about this in terms of the roleplaying classes, it would be as follows.
Mages - Jean, Trinary
Tank - Namor, Gentle
Rogue - Nightcrawler
Tank/Rogue Hybrid - X-23, Gabby
Mage/Rogue Hybrid - Storm, Gambit
It's hard for me to listen to someone not in my position. A caterpillar can't relate to what an eagle envisions.
I'm not quite sure this is any better when it's essentially a commentary on central European nations (like Poland in the story, but also Hungary, The Czech Republic, Slovakia, etc.) defying the EU and not taking in a quota of Muslim peoples. This story equating that to mutant oppression. Those countries actually not being that far away from oppression from Nazis and the Soviets.
