Might have some spoilers. They said the people in their screening was so in to the movie you could hear their shock or laugh at the same time!
This felt a lot more like Spider-Men than Spider-Verse
We need better comics

Another one.
And Spencer's run so far, and Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man as Tom Taylor is keen to write her and Peter together and cites the pairing as his all time favourite.
What is with studios we tend to dismiss as being utterly clueless coming out with game-changing hits lately?
2017: DCEU: Wonder Woman
2018: Sony: Spider-Verse

May have mentioned this before, but it's worth noting that Sony Pictures Animation is well-known for outsourcing it's animation, to the point where it's more of a production company than an animation studio. That's why the quality of it's films varies so much.
Turns out the secret is just getting great filmmakers (Patty Jenkins and Peter Ramsey & Lord & Miller) and letting them do their thing.
Actually no, all of Sony Pictures Animation's fully animated films are done in-house through Sony Pictures Imageworks. It's Warner Bros. that outsources their animated films, with Happy Feet and The Lego Movies done by Animal Logic, and Storks & Smallfoot actually done by Sony Imageworks, thats why those films visually look so similar to stuff like the Cloudy and Hotel T films.
The first negative review is in.
