What should I start next, from issue #1? Never read either before. FF or Daredevil? Going the Epic Collection route. Opinion appreciated!!

Fantastic Four is considered the book that started the Marvel Age so there's that. I haven't read enough of Daredevil (silver age) to give an opinion.
If you expand on what you want to check out and what is available in Epic, I think Thor is the best of 60's Marvel especially from the mid point on. To me, it seems Kirby was putting in more effort on Thor (and he also considered his favourite of what he worked on).
Spiderman of course is great too.

I went with FF. Loving it, even though it’s dated and cheesy. Thanks!
I’ll be getting that for sure. I actually don’t mind the silliness at all. It’s great reading the beginning of the marvel universe. Literally.

While I'm a much bigger Daredevil fan than I am a FF fan, the former does not have the best selection of Silver Age material to choose from. In fact, the first 100 issues or so range from "just ok" to "pretty awful" - even by 1960's standards.
