Does anyone store 2 comic per bag/board?

I have a big fun of FF comics I bought from 1984-1996 and considering the value, I am thinking of 2 per silver size bag and 1 board.


Does anyone do this? I just want to save some money and looking for a way to do it

I used to do that a long time ago, but it was a pain in the rear to get them to fit.

I think I tried that but ended up ripping the bag maybe they're sturdier today.

I ripped more than a few bags of my own. Lesson learned for me: One comic, one board, one bag. lol


Also, I think I tore a few comics via friction.

I was thinking the silver 7 1/4 size might work perfect for me, not sure though

I do not see any drawbacks for potential damage, do you?

I never bothered with boards and if you don't do that you can easily fit a 6-7 issue arc in one bag.

How do you store them, in white boxes and how do you keep them safe?

Current and silver size, the former for short arcs up to 4 issues, and the latter for larger arcs.
I stack them horizontally in a wall-sized book rack from Ikea.



And the many different shelves allow classifying them by writer, company, imprint, whatever.

But now I just get the trades.

A lot of my old comics are done that way, and have been for many years. Its a benefit, I think, because it makes the entire bag/board even more stiff and sturdy.

This is pretty much what I do. "Special" titles get individual bag to fit and the more valuable comics get boards but I usually just throw 5-6 issues in a silver age bag and store.

I usually do this without the board. Usually you can fit up to six but typically I'll do four.

So issues 1,2:flip:4,3.

Since I'm not really collecting for value though, and TPB are pretty widely available I've started looking into binding rather than bag storage.

If you did, how would you attack that?

When you overstuff the bags, you have to be careful how you place them in the long boxes. Don't just pack them in lightly or too tightly either. I have the entire run of CoIE in a single bag, and its in great shape. Because I was careful in packing them!
