Nero was always a mixed bag to me. I didn't feel the need for a new lead after DMC3 nor did he feel distinct enough to be valued.
He just felt like a discount Dante/Vergil which made me just want to play as them again.
This video explains it better.
Right now im not that enthused about him as the lead but maybe he could live up to the potential.
