That was a decent direct, there's loads more content than I was expecting considering the complaints from people it's a port of the Wii U game.
Snowflakes melt in flame wars.
Whelp... I'm satisfied. I got K. Rool. They could release this game right now unfinished and patch in updates as they go and I'm ready to buy it full price.
YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

Why was K. Rool in such high demand anyway?
I'm still hoping for some more female characters.
Personally I find him a fun character. He's like a Saturday morning cartoon villain. K. Rool a character who can be goofy and menacing at the same time. He started a blood feud with some apes over a bunch of bananas he didn't even want. Kind of like why people like the Joker when he's likable (when writers didn't continue to raise the "sick" bar to ridiculous degrees).
I'm satisfied, but I wouldn't mind Medusa (Kid Icarus), or Captain Syrup (Wario Land) either. Medusa is by the book female villain, and Captain Syrup has a Batman/Catwoman thing going on with Wario...only they both are rotten people.
Well, I'm just glad to see Simon Belmont added to the roster. Now, we have all three of the Captain N trio in the game (I know it was a mediocre cartoon, but it's buried itself into my psyche). I wasn't sure if we'd ever see a Belmont (let alone two) in the games not just because of licensing the rights but also because of how dark and "grown-up" the series has become. But it seems they got around that by largely drawing on elements from the early NES games which were probably some of the most E-rated games in the Castlevania series.
So what's missing from the base roster?
A new Pokémon?
Maybe a new Xeno character?
And some sort of surprise retro character?
Because . . . because . . . .
Okay, I'm going to admit it. I know absolutely nothing about the Metal Gear Solid and Bayonetta game series. I mostly just play the same game franchises I played as a kid back in the '80s and '90s (like Castlevania). I don't really have the time or dedication to make video gaming something I get really deep into. I was mainly just echoing something someone else said on another site.
Ah, well let's just say that Bayonetta earns it's M-rating. It's like adding in a Mortal Kombat character. Castlevania, even the more recent games, is pretty tame in comparison.
They don't seem to be too bothered about the nature of the source material when it comes to 3rd-party characters. They can always leave out the more graphic things.
