Default George Lucas's sequel trilogy=Midichlorians, a Star Wars story?

    http://www.denofgeek.com/uk/movies/s...hat-never-were

Interesting quote here from Lucas about the sequel trilogy. While the Whills of course are still kind of one of those Star Wars concepts that have been around for ages, and mentioned in the sequel trilogy (and almost mentioned in the prequels) it seems here Lucas is tying them to midichlorians a bit, and that the trilogy would explore a "microscopic world" like Ant-Man.

    Possibly taken out of context?

Hard to say if it's out of context or not, it's just a snippet. It definitely sounds like he would have been taking some very serious chances and experimenting had he gone forward though.
And sad to say, I think his assumption that "fans" would hate it is fair.

I hated with a passion back then that concept of midichlorians and i still think that it's an awful idea but a series of movies set in a microscopic world? It does sound intriguing.

Come on George, don't be a tease and tell us what the story was supposed to be.

The world still can't comprehend his genius from 1999 and certainly would not be able to do so now.

The Whills control the Universe and Feed off the Force.

Ok this makes me sad because I'm picturing Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin, Yoda, and Luke fighting the Whills in a microscopic realm as Force Beings. Much like the Prequels my imagination is probably telling me a grandeur tale then what would actual happen but still I'd like to see it.

Fellow Star Wars fans are a hoot and half!

I defended Phantom Menace back then and still think it's a good film Attack of the Clones was my breaking point

I still don't mind the prequels, they're not as good as the OT but entertaining none the less.
