There will never be an XFactor Investigation tv show lmao.

Id lobe for some ambitious XMen tv show but Disney has never been willing to challenge their viewers or adress soxio-political issues in a more then very quperficial manner so we'll see.

It COULD work. Would be really sad tho. MCU X-Men would be about getting the band back together.

Apparently Kevin Feige is in talks with Patrick Stewart to return to the X-Men as Professor Xavier. Presumably this would be the return or/and a reboot of the X-Men. If this is the case, Marvel/Disney should think of snapping up Florence Pugh for Emma Frost. Just saw her in Little Women. She has quite the presence, shrewd, practical and well kept and elegant. Completely lights up a room (or the screen) just like Emma.
And before someone starts with a crack about her weight, presumably she'd get in shape.
Therefore I urge you who have been chosen by God to live up to the life to which God called you. Always be humble, gentle, and patient. Ephesians 4:1-2

She's already playing Yelena Belova... I know they cast Gemma Chan in two roles, but that was fine because the first one was a minor character with blue skin who's not coming back. Yelena is most likely gonna play a big part on the future of the MCU.

I haven't seen anything confirming that Stewart would be playing Xavier, only that Feige and Stewart have been in contact.

The only thing I seen it's this and it confirms he won't be repraising the role: https://www.techradar.com/news/x-men...atrick-stewart

If anything, it would be a quick cameo in Dr Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, just to acknowledge the Fox-Men films as some horrible alternate dimension. We all love Patrick, but he can't start over again as Charles for another run. He's too old. And if we are going to fan-cast Emma, there is no one but Charlize Theron.

What's interesting is that Feige talked to Patrick Stewart. Now, it could be that Feige talks to a lot of actors. But you wouldn't think Stewart could play any character in the MCU since he's too identifiable as Xavier. If they are recasting a younger Xavier, then why talk to Stewart?

What I suspect Feige is looking at options to try to do something where the Fox X-Men universe is somehow rolled in to the MCU to avoid any sort of negative feelings from fans that the MCU is completely rebooting the X-Men universe.

Patrick Stewart was perfect as Xavier, but he's almost 80. The X-Men are a part of the next 10-15 years of the MCU. Feige isn't going to cast someone of that age to play a pivotal character. But having Stewart appearing as Xavier is something fans would appreciate as a nod to the previous franchise. My guess is they aren't going to want to confuse the general audience by integrating much of the old X-Universe into the MCU, but there will be some fan service where possible. I think everyone on here knows this, but just in case - Feige actually worked on the first three X-Men movies. This isn't necessary something he would want to throw out (like the arguments against New Mutants)

Rather than recasting Xavier, passing the baton to a new, younger character (and actor) is the way the MCU is handling that type of reacting. Scarlett Johansson isn't being recast as Black Widow. Florence Pugh is being brought in to play her sister. Instead of straight out recasting, new characters are playing a different version of the character but that requires actually having the original actor. But that might require some conversations to see which actors would be willing to come back and what kind of paycheck they might need to do so.

LOL. There's not gonna be any "negative feelings from fans" about completely rebooting the X-Men. It's what everyone wants. The Fox-verse doesn't have enough fans for any outrage to exist. Especially after how they ended up on a bad note with Dark Phoenix.

Patrick talking to Stewart is just... Probably two people with some admiration for each other having a conversation.

The problem isn't fans wanting to see the X-Men film universe as it currently exist continue. It's expectations and the problem of the new version being held up in comparison to other films which were relatively good (Logan, the original 2 films).

Star Wars fans weren't happy with Solo and Last Jedi, and the box office shows it. Or in failed reboots of superhero movies like Amazing Spider-man.

What Marvel Studios did with Iron Man and the Avengers didn't have much comparison to films which are held in high regard. If they do a halfway decent Fantastic Four movie, fans will be thrilled. But with X-Men, it's like Spidy. There's a comparison to other films which people do like. The difference is Tobey Maguire isn't going to put on spandex and keep slinging webs. But there's very much an awareness of comparisons with the Raimi Spider-man movies with the Homecoming series - which was missing in the failed Sony reboot. And JK Simmons might be back as J Jonah Jameson.

Keeping some amount of continuity where elements or characters fans liked are kept so it's not an entire reboot might have avoided some of the problems of the audience rejecting the Amazing Spider-Man.

And I don't think the X-Men fans on here are who Feige cares about. It's the general audience who didn't see Dark Phoenix and like Hugh Jackman.
