I saw an X-men shirt that had the 90's blue team at Target.
Was it the one with the X-Men Annual #1 Cover?

What the MCU does well (comedy, turning classic stories into good movies, handling large ensembles) will really be a boon for the X-men.
I'm excited for them to get their due as Marvel's true A-list characters again.
What I'm hoping is that they manage to turn out a good character piece for the X-Men. 90% of what makes X-Men comics good isn't the metaphor, despite what many think. It's the characters and seeing them play off of each other. Character also happens to be 90% of what makes the first Avengers movie good. So, here's hoping.
I can see the movies going that route. Notice Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor all had their solo movies before Avengers 1 came out. They made sure they put characters who carried their own movies into the Avengers. Black Panther and Captain Marvel have their own movies, and each one after having his/her own big hit movie joins the Avengers. For that reason alone I can see Logan joining.
X-Men: Dark Phoenix is starring Jean Grey, and it wouldn't surprise me if she appears in the movies Avengers as well. Which is why I think Avengers: BC had a Phoenix and why they given the Asgardians a past with the Phoenix. Phoenix/Jean will join the Avengers sometimes next year.

I'm so excited to see what Feige has in mind. Because I know he has something in mind. He can't fool me.
I think that marks the end of the last major hurdle that Disney faced. I still think the shareholders have to vote to make it official on July 27. After that, though, it may be as done as done can be. Maybe after that, Feige will get that call he's been waiting for.
