Another thing a lot of MCU characters have arcs they endure and grow through. Peter living up to bring not Iron Man but himself. T'Challa being a rightful king. Wanda and Vision expressing love despite being from two different places and worlds as witch and android. How are X Men not named Logan, Erik, Xavier, and Mystique doing? Scott likes Jean because umm teen love? Nightcrawler is not liked for his skin and perhaps some bond with other students. Rogue is shy and gives up being a mutant just to be with a boy who might not like her. There is not a lot of substance done for their characters.

It seems that even if Disney was forced to divest Fox in the future that MCU X-Men/F4 films can still be made. The reasoning is that when Disney purchase of Fox was completed this year that the rights to the X-Men/F4 transferred to Marvel Studios from Fox that even if such issue came up that X-Men/F4 can still be in the MCU.

Which is still almost half as Wolverine's.

Look at those minute totals on Cyclops. I mean, that's where we bust out the "'Nuff Said" and the argument is over right?

In black and white numbers it's almost worse than it seems. I guarantee you the MCU version of these guys will not have that problem.

If you are doing the X-men right they will be a lot of Wolverine( he has the most appearances of any character in Marvel in he second behind of Superman and Batman in comics in general). Just like there was a lot of Iron Man in the MCU. MCU is light years ahead of Fox movies who at best only seem to be able to handle 2 maybe 3 characters a movie. This is a legit huge complaint which people try to pass off on Wolverine being used too much when the reality is X-men never gave characters side stories or figure out how to make them useful along with side characters who are getting lots of screen time. Nebula got character development and she was D-list character. Nebula was developed better than Storm in any movie.

Wolverine will get a lot of shine that is not a defect that is a feature. At least Russo understood that after Ironman that Cap, Thor, Hulk need screen time then Hawkeye and Blackwidow. Where Singer and fox directors couldn't figure out Cyclops, Storm, Jean, Beast need to get real-time and development and stories instead Quicksilver, Mystique, Magneto, Moria, and Havok got time and backstory those guys should have been getting. It is an atrocity that they never gave Cyclops real development. Not understanding his importance shows that Fox didn't understand the source material. This one of the reason people running screaming about the greatness Fox X-men is annoying very few people open up an X-men book to Professor X, Mystique, Quicksilver, Magneto, Havok in leading roles or getting significant time. People want to see Cyclops, Storm, Nightcrawler, Beast, Kitty, Colossus, etc getting the lion share of the time of the screen.

Iron Man is another pure solo hero. He may have been the center of the MCU but many others still got their own movies, so Ironman's being the center of the MCU was not as profound as Wolverine. X-Men characters are not required to have solo movies.

All the characters you mentioned did nothing but show up to fight aliens from space in the russo movies, That is not a story. there is no 5th dimension to the characters in the Russo movies. These characters shine better when they are flying solo. Beast's and Mystique's back stories in First Class was more interesting than what Russos do with characters and they were still second thought to Xavier and Magneto. if you look at avengers you would notice the writing has never been the highlight of their movies. The visual spectacle is what gets the attention.

    - Endgame script was fine it is your opinion the quality of it. The endgame screenwriters are Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, not the Russos. The Russos with Marcus and McFeely have a body of work together aka Winter Soldier, Civil War, Infinity War, and Endgame. Which is a different spectrum of movies which show they can direct anything. The Russo have also directed the Community, Arrested Development, Happy Endings, Deady Class and variety of other things.
The Endgame script was juvenile. They could have come up with a better time travel plan and not had to redo much of avengers 1 in the final moments. X-Men is not avengers, the two teams serves different purposes. the more you think the russos are a good fit for XMEN because they made Avengers movies, the more you are convincing me the Russos actually don't get it with their wolverine obsession and cliche views of superhero story telling.

Spiderman and T'Challa did some of what you said in their own movies. They barely got to grow in the team movies. What arc did they have in Avengers? What story arc did Spiderman have in civil war? really?

Some of the most disappointing aspects of the MCU is, most of their characters gets their own movies and their paint by number formulaic scripts fails them, their sequels gets worse. GOTG, Thor, FFH and yes even Iron Man.

T'Challa was pretty much overshadowed in his own movie by the villain who was very reminiscence of some aspects of Magneto. Nightcralwer in X2 is a better highlight to T'Challa and it is not because Nightcrawler had better CGI moments, it was because T'Challa was a one dimensional boring character and the generic plot in black panther was hardly helping. Between Nightcralwer and T'challa, who was more convincing of what is is like to struggle with prejudice? Who gave a bigger insight of the situation? If X2 was an MCU movie, there would have been more excitement for a nightcrawler spin off movie than the sequel to black panther.

Spiderman is the most disappointing , he has being in 5 MCU movies and has yet to get close to what Tobey's Spiderman achieved in one movie like Spiderman 2. As time as drawn out, there is more growing irritation with MCU solo movies. Disney does not known how to write intriguing complex stories with marvel characters. its all the same formulaic thing with a basic over view plot, the characters just tick box check.

It depends now, either they start by making solo movies or start with a team movie, Still I don't think remaking avengers and slapping the xmen title is best. Do I really want to see boring disney easily done formula solo x-men movies like black panther and Homecoming when X-Men has already pushed the envelopes of solo movies with Logan and Deadpool or First Class, that also works as a solo Magneto movie?

I agree, and have voiced the opinion elsewhere, that the MCU movies do a far better job with character development then the X-Men movies did (Wolverine and others did get their due, but exceptions to the rule).

That said Rogue did not take the cure "just to be with a boy." We saw from movie one how badly her powers affected her life and that she never wanted them. Heck, a deleted scene from the first movie had her hoping that she could be cured of it then and there.
Doctor Strange: "You are the right person to replace Logan."
X-23: "I know there are people who disapprove... Guys on the Internet mainly."

He don’t have to be Caucasian. The comic book story never put a race on him, just the artwork.

I realize you don't understand that X-men is based on source material. Which is why you don't understand why Fox movies is hated by many fans. Wolverine is at the center of the X-men already in comics it has become vogue to complain about it but nobody becomes an X-men without realizing that hey Wolverine is used a lot. The goal of the movies isn't to go hey Wolverine is used too much let's focus on someone else. The goal of the movies is to tell story of the X-men. You want less Wolverine you tell a X-men story with less Wolverine in it but good luck with wolverine is part of most good X-men stories.

The point goes clean over your head Avengers are built around scenes where the characters are together. The reason Iron man while dominating screentime larger than Wolverine doesn't get complaints is because Cap, Thor, Hulk are also in the scene. The reason Wolverine and Xavier have so much screen time than anybody else is that the movie put them in scenes alone and threw the other characters to side. I am glad X-men is no longer in the hands of people who don't get who the key characters are and don't get team concepts.

HoX and PoX has Magneto, Xavier, Mystique, and Moria playing big roles. Dawn of X which is actually ongoing books with the X-men in it none of them around from what we can see because while they are part of the X-men lore they are more side characters. But you know who is two books X-men and X-force Wolverine(and Jean Grey too) and you know who looks to be in charge of X-men in general Cyclops. Every major X-man except Nightcrawler and Archangel are accounted for in a book. Fox didn't get the basic of X-men tone and writing doesn't matter when the character who is fifth in appearances in all of comics and characters in front of him are Superman, Batman, Spiderman and Wolverine whereas the character does not have solos. He shows up less then Mystique when he is basically the glue of franchise.

The tone of the Avengers doesn't fit the X-men? The X-men go to Savage land fantastic prehistoric area, The X-men fighting Dracula was a legit big impactful storyline, The X-men have gone into space several times, The X-men go into Limbo to fight demons and have a variety of magic enemies. The X-men have fought a monster island name Kraoka which is now their base, The X-men fight Mojo who puts them in crazy tv worlds for entertainment, The X-men regular deal with Arcade who is basically the guy from Saw as a supervillain. The X-men is as much fun superhero stuff as it is serious social commentary.
