Moon Knight.
Also, this is unbelievable if you really think straight white men are banned from the MCU. That's like stupid times infinity. Guess they're gonna race, gender, orient bend the FF and all the white straight male X-Men....
Also, the freaking writers of Endgame themselves said they want to retool Cyclops and make him a hero. You think Disney is just gonna step in and go "NO! HE'S A WHITE MALE DEVIL! YOU CAN'T DO THAT!"? Because that's what you're suggesting.
Actually, don't answer.
No. I'm not OK. You know why? It was bad enough when hulkling brought in that bullshit argument, it was even worse when I saw people agreeing with it like it was fact and not something pulled out of his ass. What he said has no basis in reality. Being a straight white male is fine, nothing wrong with it, can't believe I had to say that. Cyclops can be a good hero if he's written to be.
Moon Knight is a jewish man with mental illness so not really the same. Also, just chill man. Thats too much emotion for a character.
We're not saying that they're gonna race bend all the white male characters, just that they wont make a white man the main lead of a franchise. Its no big deal. Relax.
If you’re open to suggestions, I’d say take a long walk and think about why you’re so worked up.
X-men is used often used metaphor for ALL minorities just as example
-Normal looking mutants fit queer experience in very relatable way
- A mutant like Nightcrawler or Glob fit racial minority experience or handicap experience
- Story with innate dangerous mutant is relatable to someone with aids or some who has persecuted because their "scary" religion ala Muslims.
- It is also relatable to teenager who doesn't feel like they fit in
X-men isn't about a singular group of minorities or even only minorities. There is no problem with Cyclops being the face of the X-men. Going super hard that X-men started as metaphor for oppressed minorities is revisionist history when you remember that Magneto,Xavier and the 05 are white. It wasn't until Claremont and company got going did the X-men as metaphor for oppressed minorities really bloom. X-men had the always elements but it had to be molded into something meaningful.
Other Blade and Shang Chi what doesn't have a white lead? Black Widow? Eternals? Nope Ikaris, Black Knight, Thena yes Sersi is playing a big role. Thor 4? Dr Strange 2 ? Gotg 3 ? Ant Man? Captain Marvel 2? She Hulk? Spiderman? Loki? Moon Knight? Falcon and Winter Soldier? So just Ms marvel,Shang Chi Black Panther, and Blade. And one character in Valkyrie kinda confirmed as queer. Sorry representation still sucks for MCU and they have shown they take small steps not huge ones. But these are two different topics Cyclops being the face of the X-men which he is basically already is isn't an issue and because the X-men has Storm (Black), Iceman,(gay) Psylocke (Asian),etc to use for diversity as well X-men is an team/ensemble concept.
The issue isn't with Cyclops, Wolverine, Kitty being used or put in the front they are super popular. The issue is with Colossus, Gambit, Beast, Rogue,Havok, Angel, Nightcrawler, etc who are slightly less popular and mainstays and the insistence on using them over other characters. The X-men has spent years catering to "the lesser mainstays" note I am not saying that is completely wrong. It just that why in world do they pretend that say Angel or Colossus can't be passed over. Let's hope marvel does a better job with X-men than they did with Avengers because yeah Iron Man, Cap, Thor, Hulk you can make argument for them. And they passed up Hank Pym and Wasp but they settle on Black Widow and Hawkeye. Then Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch and Vision and I get the significance of those characters to story and history. But in grand scale they missed a chance to do better diversity wise.So yeah Wolverine, Cyclops, Storm we know who has pull in the franchise and who is the faces, It is just a matter if they are going to put say Colossus or Angel for the sake of them being mainstays.
* Sorry to disrespect Angel and Colossus they are good characters but in smaller spurts and imo have been aimless in the X-men franchise at times instead of using someone who can be net positive

MCU is diversifying but that doesn't mean they're going to shaft iconic and beloved characters with massive potential just for being white men. That's why saying that, and treating it as fact, really rubs me wrong.
