“Heroes in Crisis” Limited Series by Tom King & Clay Mann to Start in September

This event should not be called Heroes in Crisis. It should be called slaughter of the Titans since 8 former Titans have been killed off here. I think this officially passes Infinite Crisis now as the biggest slaughter of Titans characters in DC history.

Technically 9 since the Titans East special where Power Boy was made canon again.

As for a title I'm partial to Titans Tower of Doom or something like that. Sounds more fun than it really is.

People are giving King the benefit of the doubt for stuff they don't like
I'm pissed Kid Devil is dead again in fact all the titans have been massacred again and imo its pretty much Bruce,Clark, and Diana's fault because they decided that superheroes didn't need to go into therapy like normal people. They had to get super VR kryptonian tech therapy.
Wally gets maybe like 40% of the blame after that for me because its clear he can't just get over his family not existing anymore. Hal was brought down low by the loss of coastal city, Wally was probably sparred being a worse villain by dying like this


I mean if I've learned anything about King's writing is that he is not a fan of the swerve. Take everything he writes at face value

There is no classic Harley she is a cartoon character created in the 90s
If what you see here was too much I can't imagine how anything before other than her being in limbo was better

Also, if Batman and Barry are the “best detectives” and are on the case, Where is Vic Sage, he’s back in action, surely He’d look into this... being a Conspiracy Nut and a Detective and all.... He’s the type of guy who would show up and just kinda know what happened

Well, he already said that both protagonists, Harley and Booster, were DC picks. He also said DC sent a list of characters to kill.

So yeah, maybe he is at fault about the "hows", to a degree. But this still has Didio's signature all over it.

Tattoo Man??? I can see him being there if the old universe was around where his son was killed off panel. He was the PERFECT guy to use in this if we got King's version.

So when does Aqualad, Malcolm Duncan, Risk and the other Teen Titans come to get killed off? What about John Stewart? Cassandra Cain? Stephanie Brown? Tim Drake? Chase? The Relative Hero Kids? Superboy & Ravers?

He cant be killed off, Bendis has big plans for him in Action Comics starting this month with an extended Cameo and becoming more central and key to that book and his Superman event next year, this whole Murder Mystery angle seems like something Vic would take a professional interest in unravelling and blaming the Trinity for.

If you've listened to all that he has spoken about in podcasts, King has made it clear that this event was created from the top down to start with. All is exactly as it was originally conceived.

The story had not changed, but people were expecting something different then what they got.

I really think considering all teen titans deaths that has to be more outside pushing this. At least King had idea always but characters who are being killed off are being influenced by Didio and others at DC. I mean Teen Titans have been pretty much DC's punching bag every event during Didio's era. Marvel and DC have ushered in Death Porn genre of event books. Books sold pretty much on death of fan favorite characters.

King asked Didio which two character to use as protagonists. Didio chose Harley and Booster, but King seems pretty happy about this.

So, it was still King choice.
