I would like to say that race shouldn't be an excuse to kill or save a character but at the same time, I would prefer to avoid the whole onslaught of complaints that will definitely occur if the most prominent DC Muslim character is murdered.

Especially if it occurs in this particular book where deaths are treated in the most disrespectful way.

Yeah, it's frankly kinda ludicrous that there are six active Earth Green Lanterns (not to mention American) running around, at least when you consider the typical makeup of the Corps. Are there any other planets in the universe that would have this many active Lanterns at once?

Of the six, Kyle, Guy, and Simon are the most likely to be taken off the table. I think Kyle's confirmed to appear down the road and Guy has such a unique character/personality that one-note (and abandoned by more-interesting Jessica) Simon is probably the one taken out.
