    Default Worst Superman figure ever!

So CBR has an article about the worst superhero figures of the nineties. And this one came up:

    https://www.amazon.com/Superman-Man-...rdian+superman

I didn't even know this was a thing! What is the purpose of this? He came with a chain and a shield. For what? To stop the bullets he's already invulnerable to? It's not a even a disguise! His S symbol is right out in front for all to see! What is he going to do with the chain? Did he lose his powers? Is there a backstory here? This is about as pointless as the Flash figure on a motorcycle. Because I guess his feet get tired or something. Maybe they can stick him on that Justice Jogger thing from the eighties and he can very slowly go after criminals and beat them with a chain!

The costume design looks to be based off an elseworlds story in the early/mid nineties called "The Super Seven". It took place in a world where earth was conquered by an alien race, and only Superman and 6 other heroes were left to liberate the world.

Ah, looks like the annual from Adventures in 1994. I kinda wanna read that story now. Thought that figure was just a reject from a Truth '95 pitch.

It was a great 2 part elseworld.

And everyone had a bike or car, no matter if they could fly or not, it's all about selling stuff

It is indeed based on Superman's appearance in "The Super Seven," an excellent story that's been lost to the mists of time.

Elseworlds (Superman Annual #6 and Superboy Annual #4) . A lot of the MOS toys were based on the comics (The Hunter/Prey suit, Regeneration suit, etc.).

And *eyeroll* at that article. Ultra Heat Vision, Ultra Shield, and Deep Dive Superman beats that one.

It's a tie in elseworld crossover between Superman and Superboy. It's pretty good you should read it
