Yeah, the solicit for Infinity Wars #3 seemed like a clear tip off.

Looks like fun. Love the designs and with good writers attached, these should be entertaining one-shots or minis.

Iron Hammer, huh? Can't say I'm impressed by the design, doesn't go far enough. Those squiggly lines on the suit's torso are vaguely nordic but don't really mean anything. Even replacing those squiggles with some proper celtic runes would improve the design immeasurably. Beyond that the rest just looks like a standard Iron Man suit, only this time while holding Mjolnir. Basically, disappointing all round. Iron Hammer should look like a Space Wolf from Warhammer 40,000 or something as equally 'future viking' in style.

No kidding, it's like his jaw fuses directly into his neck until his entire head is just neck!

Also I get they're one-off fuses, but suddenly I'm kinda wishing to see an Amalgam re-rival for old time's sake.

I like the the "Amalgam" idea, but I'm really not feeling it. The designs seem too tame. This is the kind of thing where you go crazy. I think The Soldier Supreme is the one most out there, IMHO. Iron Hammer, Ghost Panther, and the rest just make me yawn. Maybe this is something that has been overdone (I did read the original Amalgam universe). I do hope more original designs come around.

I loved amalgam. I'm less thrilled with this though.

I think the best amalgam comics were about world building. Trying to cram 60 years of continuity in 24 pages.

I did spent a few hours at work trying to imagine how soldier supreme's continuity would work. I don't have any names for any of these..... But, I reckon

Soldier Supreme? doesn't sound very magical in fact it sounds kind of HYDRA-ish, maybe this is Captain HYDRA and Baron Mordo lol. Anyway I would have named him Captain Mystic or Super Sorcerer
