I thought JUSTICE was fantastic! I did have a few questions though. Sinestro was involved for a yellow power battery that was promised to him by Brainiac. Why would he want one? Wouldn't he already have one? Also, in his fight with Green Lantern at the end, Hal mentions both yellow rings were drawing energy from the same battery charge and were depleted at the same time? Didn't understand that? Wouldn't they be charged individually? Did I miss something? Now I'm wondering where Sinestro got the second ring from that he gave to Grodd? Anyone have any ideas?

My assumption was that Luthor had Brainiac steal Sinestro's Battery to secure his help against Green Lantern.

The whole rings siphoning from the same battery thing was, IMO, a flaw in the writing. There may be something in Canon to account for it, but I'm not aware of it, and it just feels too much like a gimmick to enable reducing their battle to a fist fight.

As for the second ring, that's no biggie. GL has used his ring to make duplicates (see Hector Hammond's first appearance back in Green Lantern v2 #5). No reason Sinestro's couldn't make one too. Although I will confess it's another weakness in the story for pure That's Neat effect. Why in Deity's Name would Sinestro trust a psychopath of Grodd's capabilities with a source of power equal.to his own?

Give Ross his own multiverse. Not a bad idea. It occurs to me that any attempt to bridge the two books would be really depressing because it would fill in all the horrible things that happened to the heroes. And then we know that most of them will die in KC.

A Mr.Mind vs J'onzz story arc as far as I know has never been done, yet they actually make great rivals, this would make a perfect vehicle (at least one aspect of it) to explore.
I like this idea. J'onn needs more rogues for sure.

I don't remember the story itself, but just from the conversation it seems that Sinestro made another yellow ring from his own and gave it to Grodd. The rest tracks from what my understanding of power rings - if it's a dupe, it's not real - it's ultimately a construct. It would be subordinate to Sinestro's ring - it would draw from the same power source and ultimately it would obey Sinestro over Grodd, so it's not like he trusted Grodd with "equal" power - Sinestro could have taken away or taken over the ring he gave Grodd if it was a construct.

I think the red head might be Joker's daughter. The purple dress is kind of a clue. The other one might be the "new" Catwoman?

Also in that pic, I was wondering how gods like Scott and Barda (and even their daughter, Avia) managed to age.

My guess would be that they've both chosen to age because they've decided to make Earth their home. Same goes for Orion, who's taken on a more Highfather-like look as a Lord of Apokolips.

Wasn't Superman affected in particular by some Kryptonite attack at the time, or something, resulting in Captain Marvel escorting him to the Sun in order to get cleansed? BTW, I liked it that Cap, being a creature of magic, could speak to Superman in space, while Superman, being tied to the physics of the DC Universe, couldn't. Neat.

In "Justice", Superman is infected with Dr. Sivana's miniature worms. Captain Marvel hurled Superman into the sun in order to rid his body of all of them.

    Bumping this thread.

I've been re-reading Justice and still love it dearly.

As a kid who loved Challenge of the Super Friends and Justice League of America comics, this was a dream come true.
