I keep thinking about all the toxic nonsense we DON'T necessarily see that inevitably finds its way to these writers and creative types, so I just reeeeally don't wanna see our enthusiasm get misinterpreted (or accurately assessed in some cases) as FANATICISM.

Very true, no matter how some decisions bother me (looking at you OMD) i do make the best effort to keep things level headed and civil. Things had gotten really toxic in some fandoms, wich make me avoid then to be honest.

I had a funny idea to tie in OWL into the current timeline.

In the search to cure her degeneration, OWL goes back in time to give current Laura the heads up so she can be proactive. Along the way OWL decides to pay Julian a visit to the hospital where Julian is working just to see him again. Que obligatory The Graduate homage.

Would be cool to see it actually happen I will never be sold on Liu's explanation that she knew Laura and Julian would not get together not when she had to force the plot just so it could happen.

The Hulk ruptured his eardrums when he tried to stop him from killing Xavier too. Julian's survived so much.

The annoying part is that Laura claimed that meant she didn't abandon him.

Visiting him while he's out was easy. It's sticking around and being there when he woke up after that would have really meant something.

Visiting him while he's out was easy. It's sticking around and being there when he woke up after that would have really meant something.

It also left an interesting plot thread that I had hoped would be followed up upon when I first read it but what can I do when the writer didn't even know how to stick to what was established and do it well. That however was in line with how Liu characterised Laura as not good with words. While at the same time saying he meant something before failed to show itself in the book with the way Liu had her act.
