The return of Cerise

Cerise? Seriously?! Okay, I'm there.

She’s like this Alien Shia’r warrior bad ass who first appeared in Excalibur #46 or 47? She escaped the Shi’ar for a crime she committed and ended up joining Excalibur. She became a valuable member and eventually began a romance with Nightcrawler. Her Shia’r story arc came to an end in Excalibur #69 and #70 and she was captured and arrested by the Shia’r. She has shown up a couple of times over the last 20 years in Maximum Security story arc and for Meggan and Captain Britain’s wedding.

She was a really fun character and visually cool.

OMG! I can't believe Cerise is back! I know she's popped up here and there in small cameos, but I thought she was basically forgotten. Hopefully there will be some meat to her appearance this time. I'm so excited to see her return. I love Cerise and I loved Cerise with Nightcrawler.

Not likely happening. She appeared briefly and that’s it unfortunately. Hoping she turns up again.

I do not mind Cerise, but see her as a rip-off Deathcry. Close to similar back story only Deathcry was rougher and tougher.

Cerise's first issue was Excalibur #46 (early 1992)
Deathcry didn't show up until Avengers #363 (mid 1993)

Love that you included her-- she was always a great addition in Excalibur and I'm glad you're using lesser known characters, like Cerise for example. Your MMX makes me want you to write a new Starjammers book!

Thanks for remembering her and giving her a chance. The fact that you are not afraid to dig deep in the X-Men lore, and use characters that haven’t been used in a long time, You certainly have an ongoing customer in me now.
