I'm a fan of Bendis' run in the comics so am reeeeally excited to see this film! The first time I saw the trailer I was a little hesitant - they seemed to almost trivialize it? But a few watches has me hooked.

Did you read Abnett and Lannings run? The movie will be more so based on that. Which is much different than the Bendis run. Much Much better than Bendis' run....

Maybe I'll change my mind when the film comes out but I don't really like the idea of any of the core 5 Guardians having romantical relationships with each other, it feels Quills dating his sister, Maybe it's just me?

Anyways I'm not sure why some people are turned off by the comedic affect.. its not like most or even in fact all the MCU movie didn't have some comedic humor on it .. and it is in par with 616 GOTG

Some people want Nolan for everything. Don't get me wrong, the DC gritty vibe is great, but its not the MCU.

I think it's because people didn't see the humor angle coming, that it would be more serious with hints of comedy like the other marvel movies. It threw me off when I saw the trailer too, but I liked it.
