The main reason is that she doesn't fight the Flash, she fights Wonder Woman. There are not many plots that require her to have that acceleration time.

Based on the latest DCEU movie, it is very apparent that Wonder Woman is substantially slower than both Superman and the Flash.

In fact Superman is the only one that can keep up with the Flash while the others are statues in the fight scene.

Point of fact, in the first post credits scene, it is a race of Superman vs the Flash that is shown. I guess we can probably assume Wonder Woman would place a very distant third.

She's empowered by the godwave and speedforce is a part of the godwave; I think she should be faster than flash and superman at their fastest.

Her speed should even be able to be "stolen" since it is divine.

Cause Kara often is and it kind of fits to her role as teen Kryptonian now.

Why should we care about the nonsense in the DCEU, i mean WW can't even fly there?

In other words, even though Flash is faster over long distances and can accelerate up to a higher maximum speed, Cheetah can take him in a short burst of speed
A short burst of faster-than-Flash level speed gets you several times around the world.

Meaning she's in her physical prime while Clark is the over the hill ageing athlete. Usain Bolt's best times are from when he was around 20 or so and he retired at 29..

Given that about 30-40,000 people buy the monthly Wonder Woman comic vs the millions of people that shelled out money for the BvS and Justice League movies, this is how Wonder Woman is defined by most.

She can't fly and is obviously on a tier or 2 lower than Superman, which includes such factors as strength, speed, flight (or lack thereof). The DCEU made that very apparent and to the casual non comic book fan, it is now canon for most people.

So forget about speed, the race that Supes and Flash has on the post credit scene also makes this point moot.

So, that is why we should care about the 'nonsense' until they correct it or reboot the DCEU universe.

Not true, lets say for the sake of argument that Flash can run 2 laps around the earth in 1 second with a 0-to-xMPH acceleration time of 6 nanoseconds, whereas Cheetah can reach xMPH in 3-- in a 3-5-nanosecond burst of speed covering a mile or so, she’s faster than Barry. Flash is still the fastest man alive, just not within that range

She’s a member of the Legion of Doom so if Cheetah could pose a threat to Flash and Superman as well as Wonder Woman, I don’t see how that would be a bad thing

Okay, but what theoretical purpose could being faster than the Flash for 1 mile or 3-ish nanoseconds serve? It's not something that's going to come up in 99 out of 100 Cheetah stories.

Cheetah already poses a threat to the Flash and Superman.

The purpose is to make Cheetah a legitimate threat to Wonder Woman, Flash, Superman and so on, the operative word being “legitimate”. Having a superlative attached to her name helps her street cred

I'm not seeing how that makes her a threat any more than she already is.

What comics have you been reading where Cheetah is anything other than a sacrificial lamb

The only Canon thing I can point to is a couple of reboots old. WW was able to keep pace with Jessie Quick.
