Most likely (she was able to control the solar wind in Earth's orbit), unless the writer feels that he needs her not to be able to do so for needs of his story.

Because when the writer feels that something is needed for what they want to tell, all bets are off. The better ones will come up with a plausible explanation while keeping the dramatis personae in character, but others will give a half-assed reasoning, if any at all. And write personalities that are so out of whack that the character might seem more like themselves when possessed by some outside force.

Yeah she can. Any environment that she is on that has a semblance of atmosphere she can manipulate and control it's "weather" . However, it she can only produce the weather that is natural to that planet.

In canon this, that in some planets she can use her powers without problems, in others she has problems or she can not.

I think it depends on the planet itself, but basically on some if it can, on others not.

She's been on various Shi'Ar planets, Arkon's planet, the Brood planet, etc, etc. She has even worked the solar winds, summoned the power of MILLIONS of STARS and PLANETS simultaneously in the Brood Saga, and controlled the substance of an entire dimension in the Trion story. She has communed with Eternity and emerged sane. Only in Guggenheim's crappy story and in Aaron's Nightcrawler-Hell did she have a problem(yet she's even beaten Death itself with her powers in another Hell/Limbo dimension in BP). In all previous stories she either had no problems at all, or it just took a few moments for her to become attuned to the new planet.

Given that the gravitational force of the Earth doesn't really compare to that of any star is the galactic core and she wasn't restricted to anyone of them at the time, Storm almost certainly can absorb the sun's energy, if not all other planets in the solar system and those systems closest at any given time at a moments notice and thereby kill all life on Earth.

When I first read the thread, I thought the poster was asking if Storm could control the weather of other planets while sitting on the earth?
