Its obviously a show but its still a dated look. Most popstars update their look over the decades and arent still performing in the same costumes they had back in teh early 80s. It looks like cosplay bc its not modern at all. It makes her look like a hasbeen

Plus, with Black being only a month long of (somewhat) linked one-shots, Red will be the only color coded book left. Off the top of my head, I can't remember when a book was name changed mid way through. Seems more likely that it would be canceled than have the name changed midway through.

Well, they got Havok in his pretty ridiculous, oldest look, Banshee too. Colossus will probably follow suit, pun intended. And there's enough bad 'modern' costumes to go around, TBH. From everybody in Gold, to Jean's horrible homage, in Red.

Don't forget Magneto being back in his underwear on the X-Men Black cover. In addition to Sabretooth's horrible inverted-color fur costume in Weapon X...YUCK!!! And has Mystique ever been in anything other than that loincloth dress she always wears? In Weapon X, it's worse because it's orange now. Which clashes with her skin & hair. Bright orange isn't the best for a merc group. This isn't Naruto. lol

This. Nothing to do with fans anymore, I think. We're just dealing with officials who are stuck in the past, and they probably don't like change, except their own personal fanfics. So everything is getting a rewind. Again, the list

1. Dead characters coming back to life -Jean, Logan, and Madrox, and probably Cyclops,
2. Laura doesn't get a new code-name. She's gonna go back to X-23.
3. Characters going back to lame costumes from 8+ years ago -Sabretooth, Magneto, Wolverine, etc.
4. Old relationships we're seeing rather than anything new -such as Romy & Crystique. Wolverine is coming, and he's gotta have a love interest. So more of the same.
5. Deadpool losing his family, and going back to Waypool
6. Characters returning to villainy -Magneto, Emma, Deadpool, Sabretooth

So again, I guess this "Fresh Start" was a reset button.

They tried something radically different there and the fans didn't bite. So new costumes don't always mean happy fans.

You don’t need to go radically different with costumes. Just no headsocks, shoulder pads, underwear on the outside, unitards and pirate boots. With the exception of Captain America, there is not a single other Marvel character who still subscribes to those fashion sensibilities. Somehow the most uncanny heroes of all look the most dated and generic.
