I dunno, I just don't see the big deal. Even if we ignore the fact Kid Flash does actually have powers Superman and Wonder Woman do not, like phasing through solid matter, why would he get worked up about it especially since he rarely interacts with them in any capacity anyway? His Super team is the Teen Titans, not the Justice League. It'd be like getting depressed because there are people out there you don't really know who can do your job but better and play the cello as well.

    I agree

Missing from top ten: Jay Garrick, Jesse Quick, Max Mercury, Johnny Quick, etc, etc.

And it’s supposed to be a problem that latest Kid Flash..who will undoubtedly get faster...”only just” makes top ten list??

I've has some time to think about this and it seems we need to define what we mean by fastest. If you use the following analogy I think the issue we're talking about (speedforce weilders vs others) makes sense.

Think about the fastest person in terms of the Olympics. Speedforce users are 100m/200m sprinters, they are technically the fastest over short distances. But if you compared them to more long distance runners 1500m/2000m etc.

The likes of Superman/Shazam/Wonder Woman would win in a race over long distances because not only do they have great speed, they also have great stamina/strength etc.

Catwoman should not be in the first position?

That would be a very sensible approach...so there’s no chance of it catching on.

But couldn't speed force runners be considered both short and long distance runners? It's not like long distance runners can fly in real life.

Forget the flying, even if it was running the analogy would still work. A common trope amongst the speedters is that they need to consume a lot of food because their bodies consume so many calories.

That is not the case for the Superman/Shazam/Wonder Woman. Their abilities allow them to operate for extended periods of time and we're talking months maybe years before getting tired.

Except for the speedforce, the speedters are essentially human and are thus subject to a lot of those human frailties.

Speed Force nullifies any kind of draw back. Speedsters don't lack any stamina at all in fact they have rather crazy staminas.

I don’t mind Wally or Barry outracing Superman on average but I think that occasionally Superman should do the impossible and outrace a Flash. I think that is Superman’s essential power, the impossible feat. The idea that Superman should not be as fast because he has so many powers doesn’t work for me. Should his heat vision be less hot because there are fire based heroes?

That’s one of several problems with it!

He still outraces the rest of speedsters, just not Barry and Wally.

    Hey, I agree with it.
I’ve been brooding on subject last few days.

I’ll have to start a thread on it. (In a “nutshell” I can easily see why concept was brought in, and it led..of course...to some good stories. But deep down I think at some point it’s become more liability than asset.)

And unfortunately, these new forces are making things even worse.
