This was actually pretty good.
This was actually pretty good.
I dont know how she was in Guardians but she's actually only been back with the X-men just a little over a year
IA with people that made the point that Kitty was right in stopping Havok but I didnt like her approach and how she talked down to him. She was too bitchy but she's been like this for the past year to various characters

That's what I didn't like. I can understand Kitty not agreeing with Havok, but not the way she did it, and I will never stand how Kitty usually acts all high and mighty, specially considering how she's not even a good leader and how when shit hits the fan (like when her species was dying by the T-Mist) she was playing space pirate with her boyfriend.
"I wish I could live life five times over!
Then I’d be born in five different places,
and I’d stuff myself with different food from around the world.
I’d live five different lives with five different occupations...
and then, for those five times...
I’d fall in love with the same person..."

Rosenberg’s Kitty is everything. The HBIC we really deserve. I also enjoyed her suckup teacher’s pet Armor getting in on the setup. Rockslide delivering the actual humiliation was just icing.
Also this ragtag loser squad was practically made for Emma to dominate and manipulate. Basically everyone on the team has been her bud, plaything and/or stooge before. Pls Rberg!

Don’t know if it’s already been pointed out but Land’s pose for Hisako is identical to when he drew Boom Boom in Uncanny #12 (AVX) which isn’t surprising
In other news, I loved this so much - Matt is hitting it out of the park recently with X-titles
I’ve just published my very first work on ‘Archive of Our Own’, under the same name as here. It is the first chapter of ‘I Am My Own Best Friend ~ An Emma Frost Road Trip’, which focuses on Emma between the events of IvX and Secret Empire, including the White Queen going on a road trip, to try and have fun!
You can read the story here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/15795663
I hope you enjoy it as much I did writing it!
This has been my journey with Land too. I loved his art during Fraction's run because it looked realistic to me, only to realize years later how obviously traced it was. I found a tumblr that pointed out all this stuff and since then it's like the illusion broke lol.

The author did a good job. I believe he is foreshadowing Beast’s return to cat form. I never appreciated the artificiality of Bendis’s transformation of Beast. It only had to do with his personal taste and was an affront to continuity and organic character development.
Bendis reverted Beast to an ape because he was his insert.
Sums up my sentiments succinctly, and to a T. FINALLY, a real, honest-to-goodness X-book!
Think we might be witnessing an X-guru in the making, for modern times. Matty Rose could be...
I thought this issue was pretty good. I mean, Alex got shut down pretty brutally but it made sense with the context. But the thing that rubbed me up the wrong way was the 2 characters they had tell him off. I mean Steve Rogers and Tony Stark of Secret Empire and Superior Iron Man fame? Give me a break. You'd think they'd have a bit more empathy.
But, I have to admit, it made sense to a lesser degree. Alex could really use a break, like someone said, not a new X-Team. In terms of things I enjoyed, I really liked his conversation with Hank and hopefully both characters will get some deserved focus. This is Alex's chance to really shine without Scott's shadow hanging over him. No offense to Scott, but he casts a long shadow. I was also happy to see the return of Banshee and it will be good to see Dazzler, Warpath and Colossus soon! The art was a bit shaky in places, but it overall wasn't that bad.
So yeah, a pretty good issue.
Top DC: Batman, Wonder Woman, Damian Wayne, Stephanie Brown, Barbara Gordon, Red Hood, Flash (Barry), Supergirl, Black Canary, & Green Arrow
Top Marvel: Jean Grey, Ms. Marvel, Wolverine, Daredevil, Miles Morales, Jessica Jones, Magneto, Rogue, Storm, & Havok
I liked this issue loved that Alex actions were called out by others. It provided a good angle to the issue. Alex is the Rodney Dangerfield of the MU he gets no respect.
This was excellent. Rosenberg is so good at writing genuinely funny, totally in-character dialogue and that quality shows up in spades here.
The verbal abuse Havok endured here from Tony, Kitty, and - of all people - Rockslide was hilarious. And the reveal of the Sixth Man at the end was very satisfying.
Rosenberg has become one of the most dependable writers out there and from this issue, it's clear that he's bringing his A-game to his first big X-book.
Surprisingly, this was a really good issue with good art and solid funny storytelling.
This arc seems much better than the previous boring 12 issues, X-Men Gold and Red
The running joke about the X-men name was annoying. I didn't like the Avengers being in the book. The book is good. I like the team that has been announced for the book as well. Hopefully Banshee is on the team.
