Not though at least this time I think it was the right decision. Moreover, the students did not seem very interested or seemed to distrust him what is understandable.
Havok have his heart in the right place wanting to make up for mistakes or go back to being a hero but he does not have a plan or a goal much less allies that share the same vision.
What Havok needs right now is not being hero or leading a team throughout this story think he will realize this.

Jean and Xavier no longer run the school. Kitty and Wolverine are the only ones that have upheld this kids dont fight mantra. As stated Gabby isnt enrolled at the school and she isnt Kitty's ward. She has no say as to what Laura and now Jean do with her. She can bitch about if she wants but they can tell her to f--k off which I wish more people would do
Havok is written as desperate but his pitch that he and Beast were always meant to be X-Men doesn't ring true for me. He wanted out plenty of times and lived the quiet life with Lorna for years. He always came back more out of duty then because it's what he wanted to do himself.
Kitty and Beast thinking any single person gets to unilaterally say who is an X-Men and who is not is super not okay with me. Wolverine would hang his head in shame at that.
Also seriously? The Avengers told a giant monster to thrash through Wallstreet and are surprised someone thought the situation needed immediate response?

I like Rosenberg but he really overdoes with the catty dialogue sometimes. This was basically Everyone is an Asshole: the comic.
"You don't own the name "X-Men"."
"Legally, I do."
Whhhaaaatttt????
Is porn that bad? I understand your point about stiff and static work, but I find his art quite beautiful. I loved his Uncanny X-Men. I read almost every single X-Men book and most lack good art (Avengers generally have better panels). Stuart Immomen, Olivier Coipel, the Dodsons, Land are some of the rare X-Men artists that deliver awesome work.
The first X-Men were five kids.
Xavier has always used kids as x-soldiers.
Kitty Pryde was just a little kid when she became X-Men.
And this all happened at the x-school.
So, I repeat, Havok, and before him, Scott, are convicted of using kids as soldiers, because, you know, X-Men cannot be children. But it seems that this rule is only valid for the Summers brothers.
But of course, we're talking about the X-Men, and hypocrisy is the key word here.
omg now all I want in life is for Kitty to try to "intervene" on behalf of Gabby's "welfare" and have Gabby tell Kitty to F--k off.
oh gawd yes.
Porn and smut in general are fine. It shouldn't be the default for every situation. It negatively affects tone, and is wildly inappropriate for under age characters. You asked why people don't like his work, this is why. You are, of course, free to like whatever you want. I've found that people unfamiliar with how to make art or basic drawing skills tend to see his realistic approach to faces and objects and think it's neat or good, but like, copying and tracing stuff is really easy, requiring almost no skill.
I forgot to mention his poor layouts, and bizarre contrast between realistically rendered faces and highly stylized figure work.
"I wish I could live life five times over!
Then I’d be born in five different places,
and I’d stuff myself with different food from around the world.
I’d live five different lives with five different occupations...
and then, for those five times...
I’d fall in love with the same person..."
