I do think Bunn included Briar's exposition to add SOME nuance and ambiguity to what was clearly an editorially-driven heelturn. So I will choose to TAKE that and headcanon the way Briar put it as correct: Hellfire Club are not really nicest folks, and Mags was searching for Emma in those places, and once he confronts Emma he'll calm down.

It's still a shitty heelturn but that makes it SLIGHTLY more tolerable.
Chris Claremont, Peter David, Mike Carey, Cullen Bunn = canon. Others = fanfic.

Not that I’d want her harmed but Lorna being a casualty of MV would have made more sense to send him over the edge than this. It’s weak

we'll never know. because it's unimportant. my guess is that their wealth came at a price that others paid. you don't get an invite to their exclusive parties without being kind of shady.

p.s. Bloodstorm is going to die. she's the most expendable character in the book.

Yep, mass murder happens all the time. Sort of like what happened to around 6 million people in WW2. Good thing Magneto doesn't have any connection to that, or what he's doing now would look really hypocritical.

Well, she's not dying anytime in Blue. We already know she's in Extermination.

Were Psylocke, Warren and Sunspot shady and deserving of being slaughtered when we first learned of their connection? Several X-men were a part of this club and would attend these type of parties.

This atrocity is the reason of why Magneto is a better person than Emma .

Quentin Quire, Kade Kilgore and the Hellfire brats probably deserve it.

Sunspot did use his wealth to buy his way into the Inner Circle. Wasn't he Lord Imperial for a while?

He was but I dont recall him doing anything worth being executed over. Monet, an ally of Magneto's is also a part of the club

I have a question for you. Do you believe Psylocke was justified in murdering Magneto?
