That should be correct, though I may be wrong with some placements. And that’s only if you want to take the extremely detailed chronological approach. The placements don’t account for flashbacks, of course, but the present day events of those stories occur more or less in this order.

Again, if it’s your first time reading it I wouldn’t necessarily recommend doing it chronologically as some of the earlier stuff can spoil the stuff that comes later, but I’ve done chronological re-reads and it works quite well, especially the overall mythology and character growth/arcs.

Some placements may be wrong so if so please let me know so I can adjust.

Ah! I’d totally overlooked that! Thanks for heads up! I guess this means Abe Sapien #27 occurs after issues #28-36 then. Well, the framing sequence of AS #27, since most of the issue is a flashback.

Just picked up the Hellboy - An Assortment of Horrors anthology, and see that The Other Side of Summer occurs in July, 1950... though the other canon story The Promised Smile isn’t specifically dated, given it has to occur before Hellboy left the BPRD at end of Conqueror Worm, and given that Morrow is portrayed as still looking in his thirties or forties in BPRD-TDYK #7, I’m assuming it was set sometime in the late 1990’s, or 2000-2001 (think CW is set in 2001). Given the present day BPRD-TDYK arc is set in October 2016, that leaves a span of 15-20 years or so. That works, as Morrow was an insecure rookie in The Promised Smile, and could see him being in his early or mid 20’s in that tale, with him in his late 30’s/early 40’s in TDYK #7.

Then again I’m probably overthinking it but the Hellboy timeline I’m working on requires such attention to detail.

While a perusing request might be useful and I figure Biodiversity completes an incredible activity spreading that out, I not even once longed for such a rundown while perusing the funnies as they were distributed, it's fun enough for me to make sense of the arrangement of occasions sequentially subsequent to understanding them as they were discharged...

Unless you’re in a slaughterhouse. Or that tiny world ride.

I think I have a vague memory of the "It's a Small World" ride from the New York World's Fair back in the 1960s.
(It wouldn't be a memory from a Disney amusement park since I've never been to Disneyland in California and the only time I've been to Disneyworld in Florida I was already in my late 20s and was only there for a couple of hours.)
