Is THAT why he and Doreen were once an official ship?

RIP Steve Ditko. We have Spider-Man because of him. I’d like to mention Konga, the giant gorilla, as well. A wonderful exploration of animal motivation from Ditko’s creative juices. The archaic times where publishing only valued page production, and not creativity, is where Ditko arose, but no value can be put on the inspiration Ditko’s like scrawlings had on his readership.

I mentioned this on another forum. I always loved his initial run on Dr. Strange, when whether mystic arts manifested in the real world, or whether they were purely telepathic phenomena was left rather ambiguous. His Dr. Strange On The Run From Baron Mordo and Dormammu epic was, as far as I can tell, the first really extended arc in monthly superhero comics.

I had forgotten Speedball. I became very fond of that one in the pages of The New Warriors.

The genius of Spider-Man's costume design has never been equaled, IMO.

Rest in peace to a legend. He lived a good long life though and left a legacy that will last forever.

This is a great loss to Comics and Pop culture as a whole.

He was Amazing, he was Unbeatable, he gave us Strange Tales. A legendary Marvel.

RIP Ditko, the first comics I ever owned were Spider-Man books, given to me by my dad.
