Default Favorite Latino Character in all of Comicdom?

Inspired by the female character thread posted a few months ago, I decided to make a Latino character version. Hopefully I'll discover some new characters.

    Like the title says.

Who is your favorite Latino character in all of Comicdom?

    Rules:

    1. One single poster, one single vote.

    2. Your single choice gets 5 points (+5) toward them.

    3. No splitting choices, no ties, no multiple choices. Only the first name gets the 5 points, 0 points for any other names.

    4. Latino characters can be hero OR villain OR supporting character, good, evil, neutral, in between, etc in terms of morality.

    5. The chosen character must be established as Latino in mainstream cannon, whether they're half Latino (ie Miles Morales, Miguel O'Hara or Kyle Rayner) or fully Latino (Jaime Reyes, Robbie Reyes...etc). Someone like Catwoman does not count, as her heritage is not constant enough.

    6. Votes will be periodically tabulated, but feel free to do your checking /posting current results if you like.

    7. All different versions of the same character get counted under the general catch-all umbrella for that character.

    8. If it's a legacy character, please specify the single identity you are voting for ("El Diablo" needs a specifier to be counted, i.e. Rafael Sandoval or Chato Santana).

    9. Please indicate which comic / franchise the character is from (might start a non - fan on the path to new fanhood), esp if not from the Big Two.

    10. Character must have originated within the medium or at least have a thriving comic book history (DC's El Dorado, Fire and Renee Montoya are safe choices).

    11. Feel free to post a pic of the character with your post.

    I'll go first:

    Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes) [DC]
Done with DC. Can't handle the constant whiplash! Time to go on a hiatus!

Roberto (Sunspot) and Miguel (Spidey 2099) get on my nerves at times so I'd go with Anya or Sofia... still deciding.

Shout outs to Miles, Cecilia Reyes, Firebird, Ms. America, Goldballs, and Victor Mancha, tho -- all good showings.

Forgot about Hopey and company -- almost every character in that book deserves an award.

Absolutely agree, as well as all of the characters from 'Palomar' by Beto Hernandez (the other half of 'Love & Rockets').

But there's only one vote allowed, so...Hopey. My other favorite is Carmen.

Ooh that's a tough one. I'll go with Anya Corazon, though Robbie Reyes, Victor Mancha & Miguel Santos are all brilliant characters too. Hell, looking at the list of latino characters in Marvel alone- that'd be one hell of a team-up

Gonna have to go with Sofia Mantega -- both her personality and the powerset are pretty much my ideal.

The whole canonically established as Latino rule puts me in a bind here since my favorite "Latino" character hands down is this guy:

A cunning strategist, a ruthless tactician, and brutish fighter who has broken the bat, my god, everything about Bane is badass! I don't think DC has definitively stated that Bane is Latino, but honestly, I feel all the signs are there. I feel that Santa Prisca was a Latin America country and I believe Bane's mother was a native of the country. Plus, in nearly all of the media adaptations, Bane had a Hispanic voice actor. So for me yeah, Bane is my number one guy.

If Bane isn't considered Latino, then my number one would be Miles Morales. Special shout-outs would go to the following:

    Nova (Sam Alexander)
    Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner)
    Flamebird
    White Tiger (Hector Ayala)
    Victor Alvarez (Power Man)
    Black Tarantula
    Black
"I am a man of peace."

"A man of peace...who fights like ten tigers."

    Most definitely Berto "Sunspot" DaCosta!

Anya Corazon a close second, moreso when she called herself Arana.
