If she wasn’t already playing Nebula then I’d say Karen Gillan. She’s perfect.

That's a valid pick, Marvel does do casting for actors who are in other roles that aren't human looking. For example, Gemma Chan - she was Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel (a Kree) and Sersi in Eternals where she looks like a human.

Ehhhhh... she's a fine actress. But honestly we need someone with a bit more leadership and bravado than the Rogue they created in the Fox world. I just can't picture Paquin being much of a threat to Captain Marvel, which is no doubt an aspect of that character they will dabble with.

I echo other people's sentiment that Anna was perfect but sadly she only got to play her in True Blood. It's weird to think of who could take the mantle now.

If they decide to go with a Captain Marvel tied origin I expect them to use someone younger than Brie Larson and I can't think of any on that age range that I would pick.

Also important to this conversation, would she be race bent? That makes speculation even harder. Plus, not knowing what era of X-Men they would want to go with... yeah, not helpful here.
