I voted Selene. I am a firm believer if she just showed up at the mansion she could take several X-men at the same time. I really like Sinister, but hate that they made him interested in Inhumans...thats not Sinister.
Magneto is the iconic X-Men villain to me. I understand he's moved beyond that role, but I think he works best as a kind of philosophical, ideological counterpoint to Xavier. He's one of the few complex, sympathetic villains in comic books, where you understand why he's making the choices he is, and occasionally even agree with him as he is committing terrible atrocities.
I also think the Hellfire Club is cool. I always enjoying seeing whatever incarnation is in the books at the time. I'm not sure why, but I think it's because it's a different concept on the usual League of Supervillains.
Yeah, Magneto is too valuable to lost as a villain, he probably should be at the very least in the "Noble Demon" archetype.
Magneto always
Yeah, Magneto is more complex than just a ''villain''. I still voted for him because of his impact, but Sinister is a close second. His potential is very good and I don't understand why he's not use better and more often. Last time he was great was in Gillen's run.
I voted for Selene. I think she still has a lot of untapped potential as a clear and present danger with a specific agenda.
Magneto's my favorite character on the list, but not a villain.
That's why I didn't vote for him. I don't really get who or what he is right now.
When did Magneto STOP being a villain?
Seriously. There wasn't exactly a redemption arc for him he just joined the Xmen when their numbers were low and the threat was against ALL mutants. It was more of "enemy of my enemy" situation.
Where's cyclops? Everyone is was calling him a villain recently, might as well preach my favoritism for him
I'd usually vote for Sinister but I couldn't resist the Goblin Queen. So compellingly tragic, so powerfully underboobed.

Of what I envision as the "big six" (Magneto, Mystique, Juggernaut, Sinister, Sabretooth, and Apocalypse), Sinister is my favorite.
