Just finished reading this book. I had read part one, and somehow missed parts 2 and 3; but the finale was good by it self. Not currently up to snuff on what seems like (to me), too many Flash like characters, but the issue was a good one. I was surprised a little bit that Barry admits that Wally was faster, but I am happy for all the fans that grew up with the Wally Flash, and not the Barry Flash like I did. He did have a very long run as simply "the Flash".

Overall good issue, not really enough to make me want to keep reading the series though. Not sure what the "Next issue" teaser means. Maybe they are going to announce that Wally is the fastest, only to kill him off the next issue. When it comes down to it, I think I am just too old fashion and used to just Flash, Kid-Flash, and Golden Age Flash. Any more than that is too much for my old mind to keep track of.

If this really does lead to a Crisis level, um, "Crisis," I'm going to have to say that no, Bleeding Cool isn't a site that throws stuff at the wall to see what sticks, no they don't make stuff up, no they don't run poorly sourced stuff, no they aren't mostly wrong, no they aren't often wrong, no they really are very rarely wrong at ALL. BC reported Heroes in Crisis and a "Crisis" kind of "Crisis" and everyone had their fun when Didio and Lee said there was nothing to it but of course they'd say that and then came news of Heroes in Crisis and now comes the end of Flash 50, which together really make it seem like Didio and Lee were just lying and that BC had it right all along.

I've never seen such a blatant "a Crisis is a'coming" page in ever. If one really is, it's time for people to give BC respect. It's well past time already actually.

I love how the reoccurring theme of Flash War is that Iris, Wallace, Wally and Barry all conclude on their own that they need to involve each other and not go at things alone; that they're all in this together. And then Iris creeps on Linda, Wallace runs off, Wally runs off, Barry decides to prioritise himself becoming the fastest man alive. It's as if all his "Damn, Wally, we'll find another way, slow down, stop and chill...your family...we'll get them back, yo" was all BS just to buy himself time to figure out how to umm "enjoy speed" at Wally's level.

I always felt like Manupals run could have been better if he and Brian weren't hampered by editorial mandates at the time. I felt like the new powers they gave Barry was a really good way to distinguish from the new powers Waid gave Wally in the 90s. That's another thing I'd like from the Flash family going forward is for them to all have unique abilities.

I'd LOVE to see Manapul come back for a stint on the book. He's one of my favourite Flash artists.

Totally! His and Buccellato's writing was pretty unremarkable during their run but the artwork (including Bucellatto's colours!) was exceptional. Tje Flash has had some excellent artist over the years and they're right at or near the top.
