Assuming that you don't mean tabletop games, Vanillaware says "Hi."
But for specific examples in their catalog, I would refer you to Muramasa (Rebirth/Complete), Odin Sphere (Liefthrasir), and especially Dragon's Crown (Pro). Maybe Princess Crown as well, but I'm not to familiar with that game.
And, of course, there's the Scott Pilgrim game for the PS3. Arguably, Musou-style games could count as beat em up RPGs as well.
If you *do* mean tabletop games, then any board game becomes a beat em up after a bad enough run.
Pen and paper pro wrestling RPGs were the bomb in the 90s.

Bioware's Jade Empire had combat that was largely beating up guys by stringing together combos.

It only makes sense for Marvel to be supervised by one entity. There shouldn't be two Marvels.
Shenmue 1&2, those games took the Virtual Fighter mechanics and added them to an RPG adventure game.
