I wondered that too, but since Tec also only has one solicit, my guess is that it's because there's only three sale weeks in December, not a change in ongoing plans.

So does that mean that we will get three issues in the month of January or will it just be skipping one?

It’s a standoff of mythological proportions when Wonder Woman combats the resurrected God of War, Ares! While trying to stop a war, Wonder Woman appeals to Ares to intervene with her, but he thinks the two parties should fight it out and resolve it themselves. Guess dying and coming back didn’t do much to soften Ares’ M.O. Meanwhile, Steve Trevor’s been kidnapped and confronts his captor: the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite, who’s extremely pissed. Let’s see Steve schmooze his way out of this one!

This doesn't sound interesting to me at all. I was more than happy with Orlando.

I'm quite happy Aphrodite is getting attention. She and Ares, and Athena, should always be the Olympians with the most panel time if we have to see them in person at all. I wonder if her interaction with Steve will pay homage in some way to whatever was going on with him and Eros pre-Crisis.

That’s a lovely picture of her. The art reminds me of something else...

Not a fan. They usually make her expression so dour and grim.

Can you point out any instance in which they made her dour and grim then? Because I don't see it happening with the frequency you claim.

Even surrounded by her rogues gallery, she doesn't seem too unhappy:

Yeah "dour and grim" aren't words I'd use to describe the Dodson's Wonder Woman. She's more like "powerful and majestic".
