"Laser" (or other particle) beams that act like glowing bolts whose motion the naked eye can track. You got to go a long way for light's transit over distance to look anything but instant.

Don't even get me started on Kylo Ren freezing one in place.

On a related note, super-scifi weapons that miss. Over long distance in space, against a frantically maneuvering target, I can maybe get. But you'd think that if you're advanced enough to have a hand-held beam weapon capable of melting a tank, somebody would have built better targeting into it.

Tbf, he does have super powers.
