Default Is there any story/run that made you love a character you didn't care before?

Is there any story or run that changed completely your perception about one character you didn't care or like before (for the best, lets try to stay positive)

For me it was Morrison's run (despite how much i hate this run) really made me like Logan. Before this run i was neutral with him and didn't care too much. But this story opened my eyes and made sympathize with him.
He went from a character i didn't care to one of my favorites.

Reading Claremont Uncanny X-Men from Giant Size X-Men until Dark Phoenix Saga, make appreciate Cyclops more, i was neutral toward him, but now i like him.

The Kitty Pryde/Wolverine make like Kitty a lot more too.

I know it's considered garbage, but the Iceman mini from the 80s was mind-blowingly weird and really got me to care about Bobby, to whom I was kind of indifferent to up to that point.

I got into X-men with adjectiveless #1. Went back and read X-Tinction Agenda in an old trade paperback sometime after that. Cable had been a character I was quite indifferent to up until that point. From then on I loved the guy.

The X-Factor therapy sessions with Leonard Samson made me see Quicksilver as a kindred spirit, and not a weird Avenger invading my X-books.

Oh! And there was a Longshot one-shot from 1998 by DeMatteis that was a crazy trip from start to finish. It got in Longshot's head a lot more than anything previously. Highly recommend that one.

Angel/Archangel: The Scott Lobdell/Fabian Nicieza run of the early 90's. Before that he was either a millionaire self centered playboy or angsty Angel of Death due to Fall of the Mutants and my least favorite main X-character. It never seemed like there was much in between. That run provided the perfect mix of humanity and angst that made him one of my favorite characters of the 90s.

X-Man solo run made me like Madelyn. Didn't care for her before with Inferno but I really liked her in this run even with their disturbing relationship together.
