Curious about these, considering that Piotr is your favorite, how do you feel about that time when he broke up with Kitty and Logan make him go into a brawl with the Juggernaut?

I don’t like the context because the breakup was an editorial decision by Jim Shooter at the time and the story itself didn’t make much sense; Piotr falls in love with zsaji only because her healing powers have that affect on people, and wolverine is even the one to point out this fact, but no one bothers to help him realize that he’s just being charmed and this alien girl he can’t even talk to because of a language barrier isn’t really someone he loves or cares for that way.

That said, the juggernaut thing is more about how he hurt kitty by coming back and breaking up with her and aside from all the above, the scene itself is fine. Logan and Piotr are friends but they also are willing to let each other learn some harsh lessons if it’s for their own good. Logan was there if it got to be life threatening, Kurt too, but it does suck he hurt kitty that way.

And ironically, or not, Callisto has promised to hurt kitty if kitty hurt Piotr prior to their wedding so who knows if you will see a sort of repeat of that kind of situation.

Scott/Logan is obvious, rest are all boring (compare to them). Hope to see these two together again. Wolverine needs some redemption.

Jean was his best friend whem you get down to it, i remember Scott saying that he distanced himself from most of the team because of him being the leade during the Life After Logan one-shot, is something interesrting that could really be explored in the future.

I deleted my previous post because I wrote it too quickly, so I forgot several fundamental friendships then.

Now, there's my ranking:

I believe all of these consistent enough, with a large record and deep feeling, to be considered 'personal close friendships', not just 'they got on well for a couple of issues' or 'he/she matchs with my favorite'.

Are female friendships in X-men lacking?

most X-men females are usually too caught up in their male love interest. Rogue/Gambit, Storm/Black Panther, Bertsy/Warren, Domino/Cable, Emma/Scott, Kitty/Peter.

Jean and Storm were best friends but what other xmen females are best friends?

There are some, as you have learned, but yeah...it's a common fail in fiction that female characters are defined around and in relation to male characters (not the contrary, of course ¬ ¬).

Unfortunately Kurt died shortly after and as a result Logan was completely broken (only good scene from that terrible Cornell run):





But fortunately Logan said "screw this", he went to the afterlife and managed to get his best friend back with the help of the X-Men and the Bamfs !

I hope Kurt will be the first person Wolverine sees when he's back ! No one is as important as Kurt for Logan.
