Meanwhile, Gideon offers his condolences to Scott but reminds him that there are other pressing matters. Orion has abandoned the crown of Apokolips and Haedes, another son of Darkseid now sits on the throne. The peaceful co-existence between New Genesis and Apokolips is now threatened and the New Gods must be ready! • Dick Grayson is in hiding, which is difficult as a high profile hero on a planet currently policed by his mentor, his father figure, his patriarch - Batman. But the Dark Knight's new direction has left Nightwing cold. He tried playing along and being part of the team, being a full fledged officer in Batman Incorporated, but it just did not feel right, the uniform did not fit - figuratively, at least. The last straw was his assignment to team up with Deadshot and Catman and hunt down his friend Buddy Baker in order to "convince" him to sign up with Incorporated. That was 2 months ago (in New Dawn time, last Sept. solicit wise) and he hasn't worn the costume since.
• Now he waits in a safe house in Turkey, laying low, part of the proverbial underground movement, off the grid as they say, bearded and in civilian clothes, never forgetting his sunglasses, waiting for that moment when he can turn the tide, show his "Bat Family" the damaging journey they have embarked on, and steer them back home. But that moment has long since slipped away. Incorporated's numbers grow everyday, the public and politicians give them more and more power as they continue to bring in results, take criminals and terrorist groups down, with no regard for international law or due process. Governments and citizens haven't stopped cheering them on long enough to realize they are giving away their own rights and freedoms. When will it go too far, when will that final line be crossed?
• Then it happens, you can only hide so long before Oracle finds you, even in Fethiye. She makes Dick one final offer, for old times sake. They do have history, after all. When he refuses, Deadshot and Catman show up to force the issue and they've brought along a new friend - Deathstroke! "So this is who you're running around with these days, O?"
• Dick's in danger and outnumbered...or is he? We never said he was hiding out alone. That scraggy looking blonde fella in the corner of the bar, he used to be called Animal Man, the lady that just punched a hole straight through that table, yeah she's Grace Choi, and that blinding light that is going to aid in their getaway came from Kimoyo Hoshi herself. But where will they run to? That's easy, just head for that door that opened out of thin air, otherwise called a teleportation portal, with a one-way trip to Boston courtesy of Lucas Trent aka Midnighter, who happens to have his own hangups about giving super-powered dogooders too much...Authority. • Day Job. Commissioner Gordon calls on Gotham's newest hotshot attorney Matt Murdock. It seems his former client, the accused arsonist Garfield Lynns, wound up dead last night, ironically burned up in his own apartment. This isn't news to Matt, who as his crime fighting alter ego was the first on the scene, fighting off the Owl masked killers. Gordon warns Murdock to watch his back, that Gotham has many shadows and it is often difficult to see a person's true nature until it is too late. He hopes Murdock chooses his friends and clients carefully, and that perhaps he can be someone to trust, a rarity in this town. Matt's super senses detect Gordon is being honest but not telling him the whole story, and is using this opportunity to feel him out as much as Matt is the commissioner.
• Moonlighting. In his new black mask and threads, Matt patrols the Gotham night, searching for answers to Lynns' murder, listening to the hush whispers about a secret organization that runs the city from the darkness. Luckily for him, darkness is a place he is more than comfortable existing in. Who or what is The Court of Owls? But just as our hero follows the scent of crime towards the Court, so is the Court on the trail for the city's newest masked vigilante, and as is their modus operandi, they have made deadly arrangements. The hunter becomes the hunted. Enter Shado!

• Jason Todd has always been a bit of an outsider, no pun intended. Even within his Bat-Family. A source of regret for his former mentor Bruce Wayne who sees Jason as his own personal failure, the one he let down, the one he lost. In this particular case we are talking about the Bruce Wayne of the future, i.e. Old Man Bats, the one that came back to the current day to correct the errors of the past, undoing his own misguided directions. Old Man Bats/Bruce is righting his wrongs and as guilty as our own Bruce feels about his responsibility towards the hardships of Jason's past, wait until you see how bad things got for Jason in Old Man Bat's dark future. Now is his chance to save him, from himself.
• Old Man Bats and Cold Justice (Joe Chill Jr.) track down The Red Hood to give him the hard sell. Help them take down Batman Incorporated before it is too late, change the future, his future because Old Man Bats has seen it and it is grim, and tragically short if he doesn't comply. Jason is temporally confused with the time travel dynamics. So he is supposed to help Batman defeat his younger self, the man he knows in the cowl? Exactly! Except the prime target is actually.....Oracle?!? But we'll get into that later. Plus Old Man Bruce gives Jason the fatherly talk he never made time for in his own timeline!
• Later, Old Man Bats confesses to Joe that this version of the past is becoming increasingly different from the way he remembers it, that his presence may be complicating matters more than he predicted, escalating events ahead of their natural schedule. He fears he may have inadvertently attributed to the disruption of the time/space continuum. But as Joe snarkly asks "The Man Who Broke Time" just how he did manage to make his way back to this world, convince him to join in this crazy mission and cause all this ruckus, the usually candid Old Man Bats keeps that last secret locked in his mental utility box, for he is not about to disclose the fact that he used technology given to him by a once mortal enemy, that he made a deal with the devil, or at least the demon himself...Ra's al Ghul! • Damian and Jon are back from Nanda Parbat, but their homes seem like a different place from where they left them. Clark Kent aka Superman is MIA. Bruce Wayne aka Batman is absent in another way, busy waging a global war on crime, consolidating power and enlisting meta-humans of all kinds to the cause, by any means necessary. The boys still have one another, but deep down Damian knows that the disappearance of his friend's father is a blessing to his own, allowing Batman Inc. to strengthen without needing the Big Blue Boy Scout's approval, or worse, the Kryptonian getting in the way of progress. Damian calculates risk, even at his age he can see all the pieces on the board, he knows how to play the game, and understands that sometimes you have to sacrifice a loyal knight, even if it is your favorite, to protect your king. It must run in the blood, the calculations, the planning, and this one is going to hurt but such is the price of victory. That is his nature and just as Damian is his father's son, Jon can not help but be his.
• The Search for Superman! Damian commandeers the Batwing and picks up Jon in Metropolis, informing him that while fooling around in the Batcave, the Batputer picked up a mysterious distress signal from the North Pole. After searching through his father's confidential database, he has deduced it could only have originated from the Fortress of Solitude, Superman's secret arctic hideout. This could be the clue Jon's been desperately seeking, the whereabouts of Superman. Could the Man of Steel be in need of a rescue? There isn't a moment to waste.
• At the northern most tip of the planet is a deep, dark, icy cave. This is not the Kryptonian lair they were looking for, but these are the coordinates the Batputer spit out, this is where the distress signal has led the boys. What does it mean and what lies beneath the Earth's frozen surface? Is Superman stuck down below? Jon's X-Ray vision is blocked. There is something very strange about this place, as if it exists in another dimension. There is only one way to find out and if his father is in trouble, Jon decides that he should be the one to save him. Damian agrees to stay behind, wait above ground and if Jon doesn't return within the hour, he'll call in Batman Inc. for backup. As Jon descends into the cave, the world he left drifts farther behind while the darkness overwhelms him. It's as if Damian sealed the cave's opening with a lid (made of Kryptonite by the way, something he picked up from his father's files) and Jon has nowhere to go but down, deeper and deeper until he sees new light and hears sounds, primordial at that, the ice melts away, the walls grow warm to the touch, all of it leading him to an opening, the brightness of a different sun, a new land...and dinosaurs??? Welcome to Skartaris! (Another little place Damian discovered snooping around i.e. hacking the top secret Batfiles.) That should keep the Son of Superman busy and out of the picture for the foreseeable future. Besides, Damian's dear old Dad is going to need a right hand man!

Jax, Blue Falcon, Cyborg and Dynomutt were just minding their own business having a private little war against the terrorist organization HIVE and their young super-powered mercenaries: Jinx, Mammoth, Gizmo, Billy Numerous, See-More and Kid Wikkid. Little did they know fighting Cyborg's Uncle Jax is like bringing a plastic knife to a gunfight. The man knows how to fight and finish any opponent plus he's with friends. However, their victory doesn't last long, because the living super-soldier army DEATHSTROKE the Terminator was contracted to be both the cleaner and the closer. In 23 seconds Deathstroke separates the cyborgs from their appendages, breaks multiple Blue Falcon bones and makes sure the already defeated HIVE mercenaries...stay down. Then there's a massive explosion by his making to end the game. The barely conscious survivors find themselves buried underground beneath tons of wreckage of what was once one of the HIVES bases with now way out. That is until they are rescued from above by Cyborg's best friend Beast Boy and his new friend, a mysterious, meta-human named TERRA.
