I don't think anybody cared about that. Most cities in films don't look like the city they're supposed to be.

Care is too strong a word but it's noticeable. Thing is tho why call it Harlem? Harlem is very much a place with an identity and they could just gone it's "New York".

I don't know. To me they're all generic American/Canadese cities unless there a touristic landmark CGIed into the skyline.

    *googles*

    https://toronto.citynews.ca/2007/09/...le-hulk-shoot/

It was filmed in Canada, and they spend a bunch of money to give their location a Harlem do-over.

Maybe it'd have been more noticeable if it hadn't been night?

He's writing/directing/producing/acting in Motherless Brooklyn at the moment. And he's a noirish PI in the 50's, with Tourette's Syndrome.

He might as well make his own superhero movie instead. He'd probably feel better lol.

Here's the real kicker. According to this

    http://www.boxofficemojo.com/people/...wardnorton.htm

"The Incredible Hulk" is ranked number one among movies Edward Norton was in in terms of how much it made. That includes movies he was barely in and had little to do with their success and movies he was the star of. It is the most popular movie he has ever been in and yet way down the list in terms of Marvel movies.

I wonder if it's very success irritates him. He hasn't been able to make any other movie that has equaled or surpassed it. Maybe he and Jodie Foster should have a meeting and whine about how successful those "horrible" Marvel movies are.
    Power with Girl is better.

Norton and Howard should have just kept their mouths shut. They'd be rolling in dough by now.

Man this just looks bad in hindsight.

It really didn't have that great of a script, but if he stayed around for a couple more years he could've ended up in Avengers and gotten much better scripts but probably a better pay-out. If nothing else, that's probably the most irritating thing about it for him because a bad script caused him to check out of one of them most successful brands on the planet. Ouch.

I'd get it. It would be an ego thing -- Hulk could've made $200 million or $20 billion, but if the movie succeeded despite his protests, that would mean more than the amount of money itself. For the most part, I like Norton and I like his desire to stick to the integrity of the craft, but he oftentimes tries to be an auteur in all the wrong places. He's done indie movies that make just a fraction of even the lowest grossing MCU film and he seems fine with that, but I suspect deep down he doesn't want to be a millionaire or a brilliant filmmaker, he wants to be *both* but can't seem to mesh them together like his heroes Scorcese, Lee, and Hitchcock.

That's not really fair though because he avoids Big budget blockbusters except for Hulk. I think hes more upset about talking away out of Avengers then he is that Hulk is his highest grossing movie. He just doesnt do those type of movies often

Yeah Norton doesn't do blockbusters often even the Italian Job he did under protest but he owed the studio a film. If the rumors are true and Norton added the the Bill Bixby nods then he was definitely at least a fan of the Hulk show and this might had been something he wanted to do as a fan. So it probably stings to see someone else replace you and get more praise especially if you were a fan.

I will say while I enjoy MR's Hulk more I think EN's Banner is more in line as to what I think of for Bruce Banner.

That’s interesting - it’s a decent novel. Has the potential to be more interesting than the Incredible Hulk, anyway, and probably a better use of Norton’s talents.

The Incredible Hulk’s not an awful movie, but nor is it a particularly good one. It makes an interesting contrast with the Ang Lee Hulk, which has its own very different flaws.

I do like Tim Roth’s performance, though, if for no other reason than that I find the idea of Roth as a super soldier bizarrely comical
