I'm just wondering who the artist is going to be. Unfortunately, Michael Gaydos is off doing a creator-owned project with Bendis. It's really the art that makes a Jessica Jones story what it is.

The teaser at the end of the last Jessica Jones was David Marquez. Is he currently working on or been announced for any books?

I rather have his daughter Kara Killgrave AKA The Purple Girl received a solo series than him as she's a much more interesting character.

I know Marquez is pitching in on Aaron's Avengers.

Though I'm a fan of both purple people, I definitely want to see Kara used. Purple Man probably could use a bit of a break from Jessica anyways, and I've always wanted to see interaction between Kara and Jessica.

If Kara's still a villain, who knows... maybe Jesscia can help her or something.

I'd love to see such A-List talent on the book, but I'm not sure Marquez is the best fit for the character.

Marquez draws Jessica way too closely to Krysten Ritter for my taste, though maybe not as much in that teaser image. Michael Lark is the only artist besides Gaydos that draws her with the face shape and body type I typically associate with Jessica, though he's probably not free.

The Purple Man didnt appear until the final arc of Alias. Alias already had a following and a good bit of critical acclaim before then. I blame the TV show for making her character seem inseparable from his by centering the entire first season around him.

Really hope Kelly Thompson isn't on this, more hard edged series ain't her thing. Ah would rather have Ed Brisson or Warren Ellis.

Looking forward to this. And count me in as someone who thinks Kelly Thompson will be involved. As someone who enjoyed her portrayal of JJ in Hawkeye, I'm on board. Although I'm positive this series will have a very different tone compared to Hawkeye.

We know it's a female writer. I don't really want Warren Ellis because he tends to be a little too deconstructionist (Jessica Jones is to a degree, but it feels like it would be deconstructing a deconstructionist story). Plus, he would leave after six issues.

Kelly’s Thompson IS on the book! Art is by Mattia De Iulis. Issueone was just released today (digital only) if you have the Marvel Comics app. It’s $4.99.

Congrats Kelly, can’t wait to see where you take Jessica!

Hmm. Cool but I'm not a digital comics guy so hopefully actual physical issues of JJ will be coming soon.
