Welcome to the weekly Image poll, vote for what you read!
Last week's poll was won, perhaps predictably, by another good issue of Monstress which is shaping up to be a modern classic in the comics scene.
Here's what's happening this week: Ice Cream Man seems like it has an interesting story format this week, telling the tale of someone dropping 100 stories down. There's a reason it's called the "feel-bad series of the year", I suppose... Furthermore, Kick-Ass wraps up the first arc of its violent reboot, and Dry County, Infidel and VS. are all ending this week. On the collected editions front, Invincible fans have the new Compendium to forward to.
New series:
1. Aphrodite V brings the top back to Top Cow. Bryan Hill writes this iteration of the series, which is set in a futuristic Los Angeles and on the brink of when cybernetic enhancements are really starting to take shape. Who will become god amongst men, and must they become machine to do so? I always feel like the various Aphrodite series would be prime material for videogame fans, somewhere in between Deus Ex and Scalebound maybe.
2. Rat Queens special: Neon Static brings the Rat Queens to an alternate world of 80ies retro-futurism. Expect neon, Knight Rider, Akira, and the Blade Runner soundtrack? It's about identity theft in a digital age too, so maybe the Deus Ex comparison holds some merit here too haha.
