A lot of those movies you mentioned earlier make a poor substitute for Guardians, lol.

You realize Disney still has to pay for buying Fox. That was a very expensive deal. Even Kingsman and Ice Age aren't gonna make up that difference.

Some people really went in on "Gunn is so toxic that Disney had no choice but to fire him" and now that we see that is not the case, they are still trying to save face.

You just can’t look at the actual dollar amount.
Businesses look at more to determine the success of a produce.
The main gage is “Return On Investment” or “ROI”.

    And...

You are still trying to compare an "Apple" to an "Orange".

The assertion that an even remotely comparable amount of folks are aware that Gunn has been hired to write a potential "Suicide Squad" film is rather shaky.

She was making a "Wonder Woman" film.

Not really comparable to a "Suicide Squad" film.

Yeah, that doesn't make any sense...why would they do that? They haven't cancelled the movie and that far more connected to gun...

if GOTG was the last film in the series it was only a matter of time before they scuttled everything anyway, assuming they don't appear in any more Avengers movies.

comparable to what, the people who only know he was fired? Because the news of dc hiring him has gotten the same amount of attention, and I'm sure it's only going to increase as the ss movie develops.

    The firing made cable news.

Thus far, I haven't noticed anything about the hiring. Have you seen something you can link to?

Anybody outside the MCU fandom don’t care about James Gunn or who will director GOTG 3
Heck, they don’t care if the movie is ever made.

I will say between GOTG Vol 2 and Infinity War the characters got closure in their story arcs.

But I want two a miniseries on Disney Streaming Groot and Rocket series and a Gamora and Nebula series.

Yeah, I do think at least from a narrative stand point most if not all the Guardians plot points were checked off. We found out Starlords dad. Gamora, Nebula, and Drax all got to fight Thanos.

Really, I think the next movie was just to build up for whatever other cosmic stuff Gunn might have had in mind. He introduced the Original Guardians, and teased Adam Warlock. I wonder if the next movie wasn't essentially a transition into the other cosmic stuff Gunn had planned. Had being the operative word at this point.
