Also this isn't the first time Marvel Studios delayed a film due to behind the scenes changes Thor Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Captain Marvel all got delayed for Homecoming when the Sony deal was made.
They literally told people to stop working and look for other jobs.

Which is what you do when you won't be providing employees with work.

I'm just saying this is already costing Disney millions of dollars and makes them look like a bunch of amateurs.

Nobody cared about the tweets when Guardians one and two were made, so obviously they weren't the problem.
Yeah because no one knew about the tweets.

    Compared to what?

Just going ahead with "Plan That Has Not Been Even Remotely Thought Through #23"?

A lot of people did know about those tweets. I'm sorry if you weren't one of them.

I mean it's obvious they didn't think this through beyond thinking they'd get praised like ABC got praised for firing Roseanne. This is a mess of their own making. And they know the easy solution, but they won't do it.

So, really, are we supposed to feel sorry for Disney for how badly they screwed this up?

Clearly they didn't or Disney wouldn't see it as a big deal.

Disney doesn't need anyone's sympathy. They've weathered worse than this.

Disney thought they had an actual outrage on their hands and just fired Gunn. They thought they'd get praised like ABC was praised for firing Roseanne, and production on Guardians 3 would easily continue with Marvel finding a new director to fill in.

Clearly Disney messed up, and are too egotistical to admit they messed up.

    One guy's take...

We shouldn't be feeling sorry for them any more than we should be deciding that they should go with the "Easy" solution.

In this instance, the easy solution is also the right solution.

Since the director himself understood the "Why", I'm gonna have to disagree about there being an actually "Right" solution at hand.

Do you think if Disney asked him to return that he wouldn't?
