I just got tired of Snyder's Superman feeling so constantly troubled and conflicted at the end of BvS. A little bit of that, sure, it's life, but I watch Superman to have a great time and feel uplifted and inspired to want to be as good as he is, not to feel like it sucks to be him. If I want darkness I could watch Batman, but I'm really not into that, I prefer Superman because he is more optimistic.
This.

One size does not fit all.

Superman is not Batman.

And Supes isnt mopey and ineffectual. That scene where the building blew up with just looking around like 'awww' and the scene where he is hovering above the flood victims were so cringe.

Superman is also not Jesus so the I-am-Jesus bit needs to stahp.
