Instead of Thor, Kratos joins the Avengers...

...So before the events of Iron Man and his own movie, Thor decides that he CBF and so decides to just pay someone to do his work for him. Attracted by the offer(and that he's offering Hacksilver...) a stranger from another land plops himself down in Thor's presence. With said stranger is his son, from a deceased wife.

After a short interview, Thor makes his first payment and heads off to a resort in Langkawi and the pair of happy employees go off to get their first job from Odin(let's assume they find MCU Odin agreeable enough that he has their respect...)

How does the MCU change now that Thor has hired Kratos & Son Inc. to fulfill his role, from his own movie onwards?

hmmmm well, he wouldn't get along as well with the others as thor did. not that he would be a dick or anything. kratos just isn't the kind of guy who would joke around and chill with people, you know?

loki on the other hand? i can see him really getting along well with the others. so much so that kratos would only hang out with them for his son's sake.

he would drink tony under the table though.

Kratos and son could easily take the places of Hulk, and Hawkeye scene for scene and at worst you notice a change and at best you would want to watch their separate movie
