It's probably just a chemical/pheromone reaction of some sort.
This is the first time Peter has run into a spider powered female that is literally the exact same kind as he is so his instincts are probably going "walloping web snappers!".
Same for her, that and she's a mentally traumatized human being who has been locked in a box for about a solid decade or so. It's pretty screwed up, I doubt either of them will be feeling very romantic about this.

Does this issue make sense to people reading this series but not reading Original Sin? Thanks.

So whats Morlun's game plan here?
Wait for Peter and Cindy to get it on and then eat their super baby?
Thats got to be like the holy grail of meals for him. The big mac of baby eating.
It's the Oldboy story. After being locked away for years Cindy is actually Peter's sister or something.
Jokes aside I've been very surprised with the new ASMs up to now. I was worried the return to normal spidey adventures after a big change like Superior might have been a bit dull. I'm actually enjoying every moment of it.

Pete and Silk should get married and have spider babies
Would be very fun though! I really do hope that this relationship lasts long. It's been a long time since Peter hooked up with a girl with super powers. Sigh, I really hope that she doesn't die In Spider Verse, even though I have a feeling it might happen.
I look around at us and you know what I see? Losers... I mean like, folks who have lost stuff. And we have, man, we have, all of us. Homes, and our families, normal lives. And you think life takes more than it gives, but not today. Today it's giving us something. It is giving us a chance.
Man, Cindy is going to beat the living crap out of Felicia.
She'll probably start to appreciate just how lenient Peter been with her as a criminal over the years after that.
She's been coddled by him quite abit, if he actually wanted to beat her in a fight though...well, here comes the pain train.
Great issue, read it as soon as I got back from the comic shop this morning.
It's the best issue of the series so far (Vol 3).
Makes me wanna read the full Original Sin storyline now, Watcher dead, WTF that's messed up.
The whole thing with Cindy/Silk, it's another of those 'this will change everything' Spidey storylines again, except this time it does not feel like a gimmick, it feels like a legitimate awesome thing that Dan Slott thought of that could completely change the series.
The last page when they started sucking face was pretty hot.
Kudos to Slott and Ramos- the dream team, hope you guys are on Spidey for a while longer yet.
Looking fwd to #5..

A few things:
1. I actually quite liked Silk's "costume." It's REALLY simple (just her wedding), but it works. Plus, I like Peter's quip about it.
2. I'd be ok with the Peter/Silk thing going on for at least a little while. I wonder if #5 will pick up immediately afterwards or whether there will be a time jump and we'll see if it was a one-time reflex or if it went further than that? We shall see.
3. Black Cat-Still hating this plot line A LOT!
4. "Spider-sex, spider-sex, hopefully it's not as kinky as it sounds." Sorry, couldn't resist.
