Could episode 9 have a ROTJ style ending?

Not necessarily a big space battle or something, but given the recent confirmation of Carrie's appearance via older footage, I'm wondering if Luke and Leia's force ghosts-perhaps along with Yoda, or maybe even Han (somehow) would show up like Anakin/Obi-Wan/Yoda at the end of ROTJ, as a sort of mirror to the OT. Might be a nice "final farewell" to the big three SW heroes.


The PT sort of did something a bit similar in ROTS, with Vader, Palpatine and Tarkin facing the Death Star-probably an intentional nod from Lucas, since the endings of both TPM and AOTC are framed very similarly to ANH and ESB.

You don't have to be a Jedi to manifest as a ghost. We know that with enough effort one can summon the spirit from the force meaning that one could potentially have Han appear as a ghost and it make sense. It's just that Jedi can manifest themselves on their own. It's totally doable.

Most likely. I mean, considering all they have copied/pasted from the OT they can just as well go all the way and do the same ending.
